  Aceptable pero sin más...

  Lo reconozco, me equivoqué y no me fijé que era un express. Conozco muchos Holiday inn y suelen estar bien. Al menos los de Centro y Suramérica. Este HI Express es aceptable sin más. La habitación era amplia y cómoda, con excelente conexión wifi pero la limpieza del cuarto de baño dejaba mucho que desear, con pelos en la ducha y por el suelo. El desayuno es típico de los moteles, de baja calidad, con muchos productos grasientos y además con un montón de plástico que se tira. Vamos, totalmente anacrónico en estos momentos de preocupación medioambiental. En la recepción sonríen pero eso no sirve para compensar el bajo nivel del hotel cuya única ventaja es su proximidad de la basílica y de Forest Park donde pude salir a correr.

  Terrible hotel - Stay away

  Hotel is under renovation. First room we were assigned had no heat. Second room was musty with a leaking bathroom. Desk clerk was unhelpful and had an attitude. Worst experience I've had in a hotel in many years. Surprising since most of the Holiday Inn Express experiences I've had are good. Clerk said he would make it up to us and did nothing. I'm a IHG Ambassador, so I stay in a lot of hotels - please take my advice and stay somewhere else. Thanks for listening.

  It was hottttt

  There was a power outage in my apt building and i couldn't take the hot temperature in my apt and decided to check in a hotel. I discussed my reason for being there and after i paid for my room i was told no air/no heat was operating. He told me there's an outside company who operates having heat or air on throughout the entire hotel. I've never stayed in a hotel guest aren't able to run their own temps it's absurd! The guy brought me a unit up that basically blew out hot air it was a very uncomfortable, hot stay. The room was very nice and i appreciated the guy accommodating me with a deduction off my price i payed. I'll definitely give this hotel another try only if guest can control their own temps in each room!!!

  Renovations are Over the Top!

  Stayed for a long weekend, Fri-Mon, the week before Thanksgiving. Most of the hotel was undergoing renovation, but they were only selling fully renovated rooms. My room was small, but nicely appointed with king size bed, desk, plenty of outlets, Kuerig machine and mini fridge, plus a big screen LG flat panel screen. Was able to Chromecast to the TV and watch my own streaming apps, plus the local cable channels. One big surprise was the heated, automatic Japanese-style bidet toilet seat in the bath. Comfortable bed, huge pillows, attractive double shower, nice decor details throughout. Electronic climate control worked perfectly. On top of the great room, the fitness center was open, sanitized, and extremely large and well-equipped. I used it daily. I had pretty low expectations from the reviews and from my brother who had stayed there last year, but the new renovations are making this place super-nice and comfortable and competitive with other nearby hotels at a bargain price. On top of this was the bonus of the people working there, from Kim who welcomed me heartily at afternoon check-in, to each housekeeper and desk person, and even the construction workers all greeted me in friendly and cheerful fashion. Whoever is recruiting and training the staff should give lessons.

  Overall good stay

  Under construction but front desk staff say rooms that they assign have been renovated. Parking is $10. Allows pets. Spacious fitness center available! It has 2 ellipticals and 2 treadmills. There are also dumbbells with bench. Mr. Erin at front desk was very helpful and informative. I've traveled and moved a lot due to my job so I've stay in a lot of hotels. Mr. Erin one of the most engaging and helpful front desk staff member I've every encountered. Promote this employee ASAP. This property is smack in the center of the city just to the west of SLU and a couple blocks from the Cathedral. Doesn't look much from the outside. Parking was pretty good. Lots of empty space in the back. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Sidewalks all over so if you want to run or walk for exercise, there are plenty of venues. Forest Park is nearby too. Room has been modernized. It was clean. There is a fridge and coffee maker. No microwave. Had a small breakfast with muffins and cereal. There were sandwiches that you can microwave. I'd stay here again. In fact, we're coming back to visit my daughter and already booked reservations for that weekend. Negatives: they charge for every adult beyond 2, parking ($10), pets ($25); renovations; not much choice for breakfast Positives: rooms renovated; friendly staff; lots of restaurants within walking distance; fitness center available; strong wifi signal
