  Great Service !!!

  The people of Oregon are among the nicest in the world. Three ladies at this Holiday are a part of that truth. Lori, Rene, and Sandy went out of their way to be helpful. Lori found a way to put us in the room of our choice near an ice machine; it's right across from the doorway. Rene dealt with an obnoxious guest ... who did not say that he did not want to be near an elevator; he just complained. Sandy helped me to locate a place to get a car battery. When the first one did not work out, she helped locate a second. When the second did not work out, she hehelped locate a third. Great service, Ladies! BTW, I've read some of the other reviews about this hotel, and I did not find it a "bit run down." (See my photos.) I found it new, neat, clean, and modern. The complimentary breakfast was great. I returned the tickets for a couple of free drinks offered in between five and seven PM. And the hotel is designed so that at least most of the rooms, if not all of them, face the river.

  Mostly very good

  Overall this was a really nice place, All the rooms are on the same side of the building so they all have a river view. The Interstate runs right by it too so it tends to be a bit noisy but if you are like me and run the AC all night you won't really notice, There is a Safeway right next door which is super convenient for food/snacks. My only complaints would be that the sink in my room had a lot of small cracks. Not enough for it to leak but it looks kind of tacky. A new sink isn't that expensive and can be replaced in an hour or two so no down time for the room. My only other complaint was the when I booked the room I wasn't sure of the dates (I was in town for a funeral) and had to add one day to the end of the reservation. I asked the desk clerk if i could check in for both reservations or if i needed to to check in for the third night later. She assured me that I could do all the nights at the same time and filled out the paperwork accordingly. However when I checked out I was told that "it caused problems" because I needed to have checked out and checked back in. I explained that I had specifically asked that and was told that I didn't need to. She again told me that this was not correct and that next time I should check in separately. I didn't make a big issue about it at the time but my thought for them is this. This is a training issue with your staff and has nothing to do with me as your customer (and reviewer). I likely would have overlooked the maintenance issues and given the full five stars if not for this interaction literally as I was headed out the door. As they say, you have one chance to make a first impression.

  WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

  Weve stayed here a few times but this is the worst condition it has ever been! Theres a foul smell in the two rooms my family booked. There are multiple spider webs with huge spiders in the window curtains. It seems like the a.c. and window area hasnt been wiped down for months now. This is very disappointing!

  Unbelievable all the way around!

  First of all, the staff in every aspect was awesome! The rooms were cleaned with great care, and I mean clean even behind the nighstands kinda clean. Having a walk out balcony that overlooks the Clackamas River is really peaceful, although, the highway traffic may take the quiet part away, but regardless its a beautiful sight. I Couldnt hear other people jostling in the rooms next to me, so Im assuming its built well. Theres tons of parking, and eateries and a grocery store right close by. Swimming pool and hot tub are situated on lower level but all is clean! The small town atmosphere makes it even more desirable. I will definitely stay here next time, even if it required me to have to drive a bit further to my destination. THUMBS UP!

  Great hotel

  I stayed at this hotel for a couple of weeks. The staff here is super friendly and helpful. The first floor rooms have a balcony over looking the river. Certain nights they serve food and free alcohol. There is a bar in next parking lot behind the Safeway. If you are staying here for an extended time. There is a Safeway grocery store next door. There is a walking trail along the river nearby. Overall it is a great place to stay. Bonus points they serve really good cookies at night.
