  Great place to stay

  The hotel is right on the beach. There's a covered entry in case you have to load or unload in bad weather, and there are a few dozen covered parking places. The staff is very conscious of Covid protocol, and your room will not be cleaned during your stay. There's a laundry basket for trash and soiled linen. Place it outside your door in the morning prior to noon and they'll pick it up. if you need any additional supplies, just call the desk. The room has a fridge with a small freezer, microwave, and Keurig coffee machine. The gym, INDOOR pool and breakfast area are all on the 2nd floor. Breakfast is "grab and go" style that all Holiday Inns now use, but they have a better selection here than other properties we've stayed at. Hot breakfast burritos, bacon, or sausage biscuits or English muffins with cheese or eggs were rotated every morning. Lots of cereal and fruit choices as well as juice and breads. The location is located on Virginia Dare, which runs parallel to the main highway, so it's very quiet. Jockey Ridge State park and the Wright Brothers National park is a few minutes away, as are stores and restaurants. We spent 3 days here and loved every minute. It rained the first day and we just lounged in the room watching the ocean, TV, enjoying the pool, and cooking food we purchased at the local supermarket. We'll be sure to stay here in the future.

  Hidden Gem

  This great hotel is right on the beach. You walk from the parking lot over the sand dune and you are right on the beach! Floors 4 and 5 have the best views of ocean and beach. The hotel and room were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. While breakfast is still grab and go it was well stocked. Overall great experience!

  A nice hotel

  Spent two days at this Holiday Inn Express. The check in process went fairly quickly. Some protected parking is available, with the hotel having a covered parking area under the hotel's second floor. Breakfast was different, since COVID restrictions have made some changes. However, they did have few items available. It is close to the beachfront- literally less than 200 feet. Also, it is fairly close to a shopping center and restaurants along the main highway in Nags Head. Otherwise, it met the basic standards of a Holiday Inn Express

  Great Location

  When they advertise ocean front, it is not a lie. We had a gorgeous view from our room. The hotel is exceptionally clean. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of counter space. At no time did we feel threatened by Covid. The front desk was screened off and offered wipes to everyone. Overall I was impressed with everything.

  Excellent 2-night stay

  I stayed for 2 nights at this property during mid-January. The check-in process was quick and done safely, as there is a plastic divider on the concierge's desk and they were also masked. I had a 4th floor, oceanside room, a little balcony with a couple of chairs and great view of the ocean, and easy to the beach just steps away. There is a glass door between the room and the balcony, which is great for access, but keeps the outside temperature from affecting the room. Given that this was very the off-season, there were not a lot of a guests, so I did not have to worry as much about being close to other guests in the elevator or common areas. The room itself was clean, tiny, the WiFi worked well and bed was comfortable. A small fridge, a microwave and a Keurig machine and an ample supply of towels was provided, as you would expect. Parking was plentiful and includes a small covered lot and various uncovered spots. The location is within a short drive of the main highway, with grocery stores, gas stations, gift shops, etc. All in all, the experienced lived up the standard of Holiday Inn Express.
