  Bien para negocios

  Limpio y ameno para el viajante en negocios. Ahora con cafeteras de cápsulas en cuarto. También el café disponible en el en vestíbulo ha mejorado su calidad y sabor. El desayuno sigue siendo prefabricado; pero suficiente para una corta estancia.

  Decent but not great for a HIE

  This hotel looked nice from the front lobby and eating area, but once we went to the 3rd floor and got to our room we quickly discovered it to be not up to par with our HIE expectations. The room appeared clean but felt dirty due to needing updating. The shower stall was dingy yellow and the bathroom door knob was coming apart. The ironing board was broken. We asked for another one, which was delivered while we were gone. However, the broken ironing board was left in our room. The door to the hallway had to be shoved HARD to get it to close. One of the lamps was missing a bulb, so I asked for a bulb so I could replace it myself. On a good note, the beds were comfortable and the refrigerator worked well. It even had a small freezer section. The staff at the front desk was friendly. The breakfast was okay, nothing great but standard. The location is good with restaurants and shopping nearby. I have stayed at this hotel before with better results. I would stay here again, but hope to see it improve by the next time. My husband is a Spire member spending a minimum of four days a week every week in a HIE so we do a lot of traveling either for business or pleasure. I know what to expect from a HIE.

  Business trip

  Everybody was nice and friendly. Room was sufficient but we asked for double beds and got a bed and a pull out couch which we were not pleased with. Breakfast in the morning was a good hot breakfast. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby.

  OK but Definitely NOT your typical Holiday Inn Express

  A little surprised about this HIE. I stay with HIE regularly because they are so reliable. This was an exception. First the good.....Staff members were generally pleasant when not sequestered in the office out of site. Weymouth(sp?) (front desk) was extremely helpful and courteous. Great breakfast with friendly dining attendants. Very clean and comfortable room. Excellent bed and pillow comfort. Strong WiFi. This hotel only has an outdoor pool. Parking is tight but there are adequate spaces on all four sides of building on a slight hill. Access into building is on 3 of 4 sides. No morning newspaper available. The bathroom shower surround was cracking and had multiple patches, bottom of bathroom door needs repair/refinishing (see photos) and the privacy curtain for the outside window was a peeling mess (see photo). Definitely need some attention to detail here. NOT what I am used to at any HIE. I did feel safe here, even thought it is in a high traffic area. Lots of restaurant and shopping nearby. Great location for visiting Murfreesboro and easy access to Interstate highway.

  Breakfast only saving grace to staying here.

  I'm a Hilton Honors Gold Member and haven't stayed at a Holiday Inn in decades. A business trip forced a stay here and after doing so, would definitely choose a Hampton Inn instead. If staying here, first of all choose an even-numbered room. Mine was odd-numbered and faced the highway. Even with the heater/a/c fan running and good earplugs in, one could easily hear the traffic. The towels used and taken by housekeeping the first night were never replaced. The tub stopper was totally removed from the tub and sitting on the side. Shower head was dreadful; one of those that has a halo of water with nothing in the middle. It was adjustable, but only this one setting worked and the other only allowed out a dribble of water. The outlet in the lamp would not work unless the lamp was on--not much help when trying to recharge a cell phone or using a heating pad. When I tried to use the outlet on the opposite side of the bed and closest to the window, it was separated from the wall by about 1/4" and did not function at all. The display numbers on the heating/a/c unit did not function correctly either with several 'pixels' missing. Only one elevator was in operation and it was extremely slow. As I didn't need to check out till later my last day there, I put the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door and settled back to have some coffee and peruse the internet. Around 9:30 a.m. I heard a knock outside announcing housekeeping, however, paid no attention to it as I thought it was at another room. About 5 seconds later housekeeping just comes walking right on in and when they saw me, apologized. I have never had this happen at a Hilton brand hotel. Anyways, the only good thing about the stay was the breakfast. Quite a bit better than a Hampton Inn, however, not enough to make me stay instead at this Holiday Inn Express.
