  Pleasant Stay in Ludlow, MA

  Enjoyed a Family visit in Ludlow, MA area. Especially appreciated staff(Susana) in the breakfast dining area. Re Dining area meticulously clean. Food was great and Susana very kind and helpful with local information.

  Disappointing

  I was expecting much more for the price and the reviews for this hotel. While it was clean and close to the highway, it didn't live up to expectations. The beds were very hard (though my husband, who likes a firm mattress, didn't find it a problem). Most annoying was that the doors shut hard and fast so all day and night you hear them slam. The walls and ceiling are super thin and you can hear everything in the halls and adjacent rooms. Hot water wasn't an issue but our shower drain was clogged so the tub filled up pretty fast. I will agree that the breakfast had a decent selection and was well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful.

  Loud hotel

  The Holiday Inn Express Ludlow is very typical of all of the chains other locations. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, rooms are clean and well furnished, there is plenty of free parking and breakfast is warm and tasty. The primary challenge I had, is likely impossible to fix. My second floor room was remarkably loud. My upstairs neighbor was pacing the floor and the sound of him/her marching back and forth was remarkably loud in my room. Im assuming the 3 story building is all wood and thus the sound comes straight through. Happily he/she didnt pace much after 9 pm so I got a great nights sleep on a very comfortable bed. Would I go back... sadly not. The sound issue is real.

  Clean and Friendly Stay

  This Hotel was kind enough to allow us to come stay with them during a time that most Hotels were not taking anybody in except Essential Workers, and they were in the same category as well, but they allowed us to come with a Waiver to stay with them because we had a good personal reason to be in the area and needed a place to safely stay. We appreciate this Hotel. The Staff were all friendly and accommodating. The Hotel is not a new hotel but it is well kept and very clean and comfortable. The location of the Hotel is in a safe area and is conveniently located. Unfortunately, with the State Wide shut downs they could not give us any Breakfast nor Coffee in the Lobby. The Hotel practiced Social Distancing, and wore Face Masks when necessary. No Social gatherings were allowed inside the Hotel, just a place to sleep and stay in your room. They did have daily Housekeeping Services to clean and refresh your Room. Although no Amenities were open, but they do have a nice looking Indoor Pool, and a small Business Center in the Lobby area, and a nice sized separate Breakfast Room, and Guest Laundry, and a Fitness Center. Our Room was comfortable and had a closet, Iron and Board, No personal Safe, but we did have a Mini Refrigerator and a Microwave, and a Work Desk. The Bathroom had a Tub and Shower Combination, with plenty of good Hot Water Pressure. The only thing that we noticed in our Room 322, we had in the Bathroom a bottom Wall Tile that had gaps in it, and in the Room the Ceiling had a Stain in it that looked like it was once a leak, otherwise all was good. We would certainly stay here again if in the area and we do recommend this Hotel.

  Friendly Staff, Comfortable Room

  Stayed one night, front desk personnel very friendly with easy check in and out. King size room on the third floor was clean and roomy. Air conditioning worked well, bedding and pillows were comfortable, no issues with WiFi. Breakfast was grab and go bags (due to COVID-19, the breakfast area was closed). Free parking, easy access to major highways.
