  Nice

  Nice place, clean and new. Front desk, house keeping and breakfast staff are all fantastic helpful people. Ask for a room on the backside of the hotel away from the highway. When staying on the front side of the inn the tractor trailer trucks are terribly noisy. Unfortunately the inn was out of toothpaste, the small compliment tube if you have forgotten yours. Always fresh hot coffee in the lobby.

  Not Impressed

  Stayed here one night on the first floor with a group. Hotel was renovated however, it appears there was some damage/flooding done to the rooms. Slight odor in the room. Couldnt sleep well because we could hear the water running from the next room. Not really used to the IHG brand but I will not stay here again.

  Nice Accommodation Low Priced

  Clean spacious rooms. Easy checkin and checkout. Free buffet breakfast - a good spread. Free Wi-Fi. Free parking. An exciting restaurant right in front of the hotel - called Bombshells - a spacious Sports Bar with both inside and outside seating; a wide selection of foods and drinks; very competitively priced; and pretty skimpily clad waitresses. Excellent service. Theres a pantry in the hotel where you can buy daily use items and a variety of food and drinks. Very hospitable staff - smiling and helpful. Very reasonably priced. Close to many highways and state roads. Most places in Houston can be reached in 20-40 minutes. Great value for money. Highly recommended.

  Nice place to stay.

  I stayed at this HIX for two nights on business and it was really nice. I was greeted with a nice, helpful person at the front desk. My reservation was accurate and I found my room to be clean and comfortable. I was able to rest and the breakfast was good. I did some work in the lobby area the next day and it was a very quiet atmosphere to do work. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and one within walking distance. The Bass Pro shop is around the corner. There is a bit of road construction but it wasnt real bad. I do recommend this HIX.

  Not real happy

  We like Holiday Inn, and this location is where we needed, so we booked a nonrefundable suite for a week. We wanted a place with a gym; its out of order due to flooding. The A/C is effective, but noisy enough to require ear plugs. The shower head either has a rim with no center, or a center blasting with no rim. Since its way high and were not real tall, this matters. The WiFi is very spotty in our room; Ive turned it off. The precise timing required to get the key lock to work is weird (insert, remove, wait for the red light to go out, then about 1/10th second more, then it works anything else and its try again). Frankly, it should just be insert, open. And theres a giant security/publicity light thats pointed at our room. Its really bright, so theres no way we can leave the curtains open to just look out. I rarely leave bad reviews; Im pretty easy to please. And the bed is comfortable, the room is clean, and the breakfast is fine. But all the others kind of combine to be a rather regular irritant. If I hadnt booked it nonrefundable, frankly, wed probably just check out and find somewhere close with a working gym. I understand its not their fault that it flooded, but we really wanted it, darn it.
