  Bastante cutre para holiday Inn

  Viendo el nivel de la ciudad posiblemente no es el peor, pero muy flojo comparado con otros holiday inn. Siempre pasa lo mismo en este país, todo promete bastante y luego es un chinada. Menú en la habitación cuando no hay servicio de habitaciones?¿ Por que el restaurante no sirve cenas en eñ restaurante a partir de las 20.30 cuando pone que cierra a las 21.00?¿

  Central location

  Positives Central location Good coffee Delicious porridge for breakfast Safe We had 6 rooms and HIE took the initiative to put us on the same floor. We appreciate the gesture. Staff are friendly but they only speak Mandarin. Negatives Room smells of smoke - even non smoking rooms. I complained and was showed 2 more rooms on the same floor which had smoke smell too. One of my colleagues could smell someone smoking in one of the rooms. I think HIE should strictly enforce no smoking in non smoking rooms. Internet - if you need to work and be on a concall, dont stay here. At certain times the internet can be wonky. Slow coffee machine - I had to wait 5 to 10 mins for coffee everyday because its slow and theres always an issue. Toilet has mold.

  Excellent location in historical Dalian.

  Spent three nights there using it as a base to explore historical Dalian and Lushun. Couldn't ask for a better location in the center of "old" Dalian. Walking distance to subway line 2 station that can conveniently connect you to all parts of Dalian, as well as Lushun (Port Arthur) Lots of seafood restaurants. Tian Tian recommended.

  Very convenient location

  Hotel is about 4 blocks north of Zhongshan Square, and it is an easy walk to the Line 2 Metro, train station, and Zhongshan bus stops. The street beside the hotel is a pedestrian way with a McDonalds and many local food stands selling mostly fresh seafood. The property was a little disappointing at first, as the carpet in the room was dirty (very common in Chinese hotels) but the hotel provided slippers. Other than that, housekeeping was good. Hotel was quiet and A/C worked well. Complimentary breakfast was good and included fried eggs, sausage, ham/bacon, breads, watermelon, rice, and other Chinese meats and vegetables. The Lawson store located off the lobby was very handy. Staff were friendly and helpful.

  Family trip March 2019

  Holiday inn hotel on tianjin street was a nice hotel. We came over to Dalian by high speed train and took the south exit. From the station to hotel by taxi was 10rmb. However the taxi did not wanted to pick us up unless we crossed over to the opposite side of the road. Ok, no issue with that. Our check in was smooth and was served by Mark Sun. As the English name did not specify which hotel branch, pls tell the driver the branch name in Chinese which is holiday inn (hai-zun). We also had a recommendation on where to have dinner by the reception, which was right across (diagonally opposite) hotel, . Basically, you order from the waitress at the live tanks area, no menu and the prices are really cheap. On our check out day, we walked over to the station in 10 mins. We also used the travel agent at the lobby for day tour 100rmb/pax and we can opt for additional (payable) activities once we boarded the bus. It was reasonable as we had paid about 550rmb/pax extra. The Lawson at lobby was fantastic and convenient. As a rule of thumb, when we travelled within the city, our taxi ride was always 10rmb or slightly higher. Additional notes, we walked about 10mins from hotel to Russian folk street. You can refer to my uploaded photos.
