  Buen hotel con atención increíble

  Excelente hotel, no me quedé ahi por la distancia con el centro de la ciudad, pero la verdad es que la atención del conserje Joshua increíble. Contemplaré mi proxima visita llegar a este hotel. 100% recomendable por si tienes necesidad de hacer compras!

  Great location, and amazing service makes the stay comfortable!

  First of all, I want to thank you the girl at the front desk, her name is Jillian. She is soo friendly, and offered to help in many ways. Always greeted me and my son in the morning or night. Such a pleasure to see. Our first night there, I called to see if t;he bed was able to move by any chance, and she said no, but offered to bring up extra pillows so my 20 month old son, wouldn't roll over when he's sleeping. She even offered a crib but he wouldn't be comfortable sleeping in another crib, so she personally came up with extra pillows. Not to mention, I forgot my body wash, and she gave me extra soap and shampoo. Our keireg wasn't working properly in the morning and she offered to find another one. She was so sweet and the other receptionists after that as well. I needed to make a local call and since I had an international phone, the girl at the front desk let me use the hotel phone really quick and make my call. I didn't get a chance to get her name but she was so nice as well. The AC in the room worked great, a little noisy but it's okay considering it was very hot outside and its better to have a working AC than nothing at all. The water temperature in the sink was great and the toilet working just fine. The beds were comfortable and I can't forget how nice house keeping was. They understood perfectly fine that I didn't want any cleaning done, but the young, African American girl offered to give me extra garbage bags and just take my trash which was all I needed. Overall, I had a great experience again, and 7 years ago, I had many people that came from out of town stay at this hotel during my wedding weekend. Great location, walking distance to many places, restuarants, gas station, and Walmart nearby too! I would recommend for a great price!

  Very Disappointing

  After moving from the SW Side of Chicago to a new state 2 years ago, weve stayed at this HIEx three times when weve returned for family visits. This past October was our 3rd and last stay at this location. There have been some dramatic changes in this short period of time. Focusing on this last visit: (1) The first room we were given had been smoked in. (2) We were relocated to the same room wed stayed in twice before (the last time being April 2019). I knew this because the bathroom wall outlet was still broken. Once an item is plugged in (for example, my flat iron), if the cord is moved even slightly, the plug fails to connect and sometimes falls out. I reported it to Housekeeping on Day 3 of our 6 day visit. No attempt was made to fix it or even apologize. I ended up having to move the stand the TV sits on slightly away from the wall to use an outlet near the mirror. (3) There is mold in the bathtub/shower stall at the ceiling and on the tub seam. There is zero ventilation in the bathroom - not even a fan. (4) The carpet in the room was stained (a huge, pink stain) and snags had been torn, leaving streaks. (5) The scrambled eggs at breakfast had shades of grey coloring the one day we attempted to eat there. Weve eaten breakfasts at A LOT of hotels, including HIEx, over the past 20 years and Ive never seen that. (6) There was a huge wad of fresh gum stuck to the handrail in one of the elevators. (7) There was a half-dressed, barefoot toddler supervised by tweens hanging out at the vending machine in the lobby area across from the elevators for quite a while. They werent loud. They just lacked adult supervision for a long time and the lobby was cold. (8) More than once during our six night stay I walked through a cloud of pot smoke w/my tween at the entrance when we returned for the evening. (9) Almost forgot - staff told us upon checking in that our credit card wed reserved the room with was no good. Completely false, and baffling. Had to provide another card. We eventually paid for our stay with the original card. (10) Almost not worth mentioning as its so trivial but added on top of all this other stuff, but it became annoying Horrible pillows!! To be fair, staff was polite and the iron and ironing board were in good, working order. Well be finding another place to stay next time we return to the Chicago area, which is a bummer because the location is convenient and we almost always stay at HIEx hotels these days.

  A Mixed Bag

  Check in was abysmal. The customer service was horrible until the next morning. (Thank you, Clarisa). It takes approximately 10 minutes to get hotter than luke warm water for your shower if you're on the fourth floor each morning. The room heater was broken and only turned off or stopped making loud noise if we unplugged it (they offered to fix it, but after a 12 hour drive to the hotel I couldn't guarantee I'd be out of the room that long and we were only there 3 nights). The pool was broken and unusable until 3 hours before we left. Breakfast was perfect. Check out was quick and easy. Honestly, if Clarisa wasn't there, I'd have checked out the hour after I checked in. Yes, check in was truly that bad. Location was very good.

  This is a amazing place with Phenomenal service. I am in hospitality field so I love when service exceeds my expectations. Mr. Forbes truly is amazing and makes the experience memorable. Thank you Holiday Inn Express Crestwood!
