  Comfortable hotel

  My wife and I stayed at HIE Cheektowaga NE in mid-August for 2 nights. We were visiting Buffalo area for shopping and sightseeing and this was a perfect location, in-between locations we wanted to visit. The hotel is located in a quiet area, close to several restaurants and across from Target. Our room on the 2nd floor was large and comfortable. Good pressure in the shower. Everything seemed clean. Hot breakfast was included as was wi-fi and free parking. It's not luxury accommodation but it was comfortable and served our needs. Service was friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

  Don't be fooled by the cover of the book

  The exterior of this hotel is amazing. The room not so much. The faucet in the bathroom sink spun in a 180 degree circle. There was hair on the shower walls. No water pressure in the shower. The bedding was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Different pillows allows you to find the right option for you. I was checked in for 2 days and left after 1. There are nicer and lower priced hotels right next door.

  Not again

  Up until now this was a great hotel to stay at for business or pleasure. As recent as last week (8/18- 23/19). Not naming a specific date, but we pulled into the very empty parking lot. Which was extremely unusual for the time of night we arrived. As I got out to check for room availability. I noticed a young couple outside talking. When I went in the young lady followed me in. I asked about a room for the night. She stated they were all booked up and NO rooms were available. Then she walked back out and began talking to the young man outside. I called the 800 reservation number and they informed me they showed plenty of rooms available at that hotel. She tried calling the hotel and the phone just rang. I walked back inside alone and could hear the phone ringing. The young lady was outside and couldnt hear the phone ringing. They lady came back on the line and stated there was no answer. I told her why there was no answer. The young lady came back in and the reservation place called again. The young lady told the reservation lady their computer was down and she could check for availability. So why the different stories??? So when I called back today to speak to a manager,they conveniently left at 3pm. I found that out after being on hold for 15min. So if youre able to get a reservation or a nights stay, CONGRATULATIONS. Youll enjoy your stay, hopefully. Not sure if theres a change in management or just a way of doing business. Either way I wasnt very pleased.

  INTERNET SECURITY PROBLEMS

  On my recent stay I attempted to log on to internet from my room using assigned network HIE- GUEST and it would not load. There was another network name HIE-Cheektowaga that would. Concerned about the security I went to the front desk since they didn't answer phone. I was told this was a management problem and the manage would not be in until the morning (not there in morning). I asked if the other network was theirs she said "no, but they knew about it" It seems this was a bogus spoof network. I attempted to write a review on IHG site (as a elite member) which was not posted. There was no follow up. I want to warn other guests to be aware of this. Because of this, I could not make a reservation for my next night of travel online.

  Very Friendly front staff

  Front staff were extremely helpful. They were the first ones to tell me about the loyalty program. The rooms were clean and well stocked. The pool was a bit on the small side and the water was very cool, but it was still nice to have a pool. Convenient location.
