  good hotel 20 minutes from airport

  We stayed in this hotel - arriving late, and leaving early for a very early flight. Friendly people at the reception - basic knowledge of English but they tried. room was big and clean and the bed was comfortable - big and clean bathroom good shower. there was no bottle of water in the room, you could buy it from a store in the hotel (rather high prices in the store). no restaurant in the hotel, but there is a mall at 500 metres with lot of restaurants. we had no breakfast since we left already at 4 am. airport is very nearby - appr. 20 minutes ride (without traffic). WIFI was ok.

  Great hotel!

  Good breakfast, the staff is lovely and the room is very Comfortable! Very nice place to stay for buzz travel! There is good amenities in the room and the towels are soft end clear! It's very well located on Br316. Its close to airport and industrial district!

  Worst hotel stay ever.

  Terrible experience. Hotel staff couldnt speak English. Rooms not cleaned several days. Electricity went down twicw during our ten days stay. Very unpleansent stay I would say. We would no recommend this Hotel to a friend or anyone.

  For our purpoese this hotel is excellent!

  The location of the Holiday Inn Express is very convenient when you have a car, which we did. Parking is free, the airport is close (15 min by car) and in walking distance is a shopping mall with a huge supermarket. On the other side tourist attractions like the Belem waterfront market " Ver-o-Peso" are pretty far away (40 min by car), which was no problem for us, but might be for other guests. The reception and check-in was smooth and our room was superclean and spacious. The beds were of the international Holiday Inn quality and were super-comfy and we slept wonderfully. Also the pillows were of world-class! The in room coffeemaker was a nice feature. The air-con was also working fine (important in Belem) and the shower had a good water-pressure. The breakfast was okay, but not outstanding. Overall we can recommend this hotel.

  Great Value, Well Kept, Perfect for Transit

  On a short transit for 12 hours in Belem, booking this hotel, I was kind of hesistant, $45 USD?? But after reading some reviews and checking the location, I booked. Coöpertaxi at night was R$45 (there were no Ubers at 4am). Uber daytime back to airport was R$13. The hotel is clean, tiled floors in rooms, clean bathroom, clean super white sheets, no odd smell (since old hotels can have the humid moldy smell, this does not look like an old building). The wifi is descent. I chose this location, because the city can get congested during the day. This hotel is along a main road/semi-highway and took me only 13 minutes during daytime to get to Belem International airport. The room had an iron & ironing board, watercooker, tea and coffee bags, desk w office chair, safety box, empty fridge. I missed breakfast, but they have like a mini convenience store inside the lobby which is handy; beer, sodas, bottled water, cup of noodles, and many other snacks. The cons (just one) : The hotel is located about 15-20 minutes from the city center action. It will also be obvious not to walk outside at night. The area doesn't feel safe, eventhough inside the hotel I felt very safe (they lock the door at night), 2 man staff at the lobby. Your room door also has an inside chain lock. During the day might be a bit better, along the busy street, there is a 'just ok' shopping mall probably 7 minutes walk. I would still advise using a taxi. The better shopping mall is in the city, I think it's called Boulevard Mall. Also, maybe the staff also needs to improve their english, but they are friendly. For a transit of between 6 hours to 2 days , at THIS PRICE, this is probably the best way to go (I read funny things about the Ibis hotel close by the airport. For shorter than 6 hours, just stay at the aiport, they have a place where you can rent a bed per hour). Keep it up Holiday Inn Belem! This Holiday Inn
