  Some good aspects, some not so good

  Nice staff. Reasonably appointed rooms. Bathrooms had wierd door placement that obstructed most portions of bathroom . Some metal mount on shower wall (possibly for old bath soap and shampoo dispenser) offered a real hazard if you were to lose balance or slip in the shower. Breakfast buffet had some malfunctioning lids for hot food that was inexplicable. Points program for HI is a sham.

  Nice hotel, stay could have been better

  I stayed june 19 to June 21 , 2020. I was visiting family. I will say the hotel was clean and the room was a nice room My first night I was pretty happy and satisfied and then the drama begun. On my second day I was locked out of my room (213)and after about 30 min of going back and forth to get emergency keys to open the door, that STILL DID NOT WORK. I waited close to two hours to get back in my room when finally a maintenance man kicked the door in. We rechecked the lock and after waiting another 30 min and the lock still didnt work, I asked to be moved to another room. At that time,I was told that the reason this happened is Covid and they had to reset the locks so it wasnt the hotels fault. I asked if I could just check out to move to another hotel and was told that they COULD NOT AUTHORIZE A REFUND. So they would have to first try several different things before moving me and one was changing the battery. So once the battery didnt work, I went back to the front desk and finally they gave me a new room. The. That room ALSO didnt work. Back and forth with keys until the front desk had time to come upstairs and see what was wrong. Turned out a big chunk of the time we spent AGAIN going back and forth to our new room (419) and finally the hotel rep DOW I believe his name is came and was able to open the room with the machine. The rest of my entire stay ended up being like this, they never offered a new room and we had to go to the front desk to be let in EVERY SINGLE TIME I NEEDED TO ACCESA MY ROOM, IT WAS A HUGE INCONVENIENCE ON TIME BECAUSE I HAD TI WAIT IF THEY HAD A LINE AT THE FRONT DESK, I HAD HUGE ANXIETY IF I FORGIe SOMETHHING IN MY ROOM WHEN I NEEDED TO LEAVE, AND I WAS NEVER OFFERED ANYTHING FOR THE TROUBLE AND INCONVENIENCE I SUFFERED. So for that reason and the bad choices the staff made to rectify the situation or make my stay more comfortable it just never happened. All I got was excised as to why it happened and COVID was not their fault. Well, its not my fault either as a guest. And Im not the one that opened a hotel that clearly wasnt ready to be opened.

  Fabulous customer service!

  Dominick & Lonnie went above and beyond for us. I had to keep changing plans and they were so patient and understanding and friendly! This is the kind of service that keeps people coming back! The housekeeping staff were always pleasant and helpful as well; and they worked hard to keep things clean and tidy in spite of a very crowded weekend! Dominick and Lonnie both deserve a raise!!!!

  Rockin Round Rock

  This Holiday Inn Express is nestled in the perfect location to go any direction in North Austin, actually Round Rock. The rooms are clean and comfortable and well maintained. The only quirk that I did not like was having to call the front desk on a (germ infested)lobby phone to be let in to check in... during the day.

  Before I Wright this review I have tio say that holiday inn express usually does a great job. Going to describe our experience chronologically. Got in at about 9pm. No rolling valet , ask front desk and attendant was very short and rude. She said unfortunately its not available right now. Went to room and pull out bed did not have bedding or pillows. Went down to the lobby and asked for bedding and pillows. Front desk got me bedding and one pillow. I ask if I could have a second and she said no. I asked if she had more than one and she said yes. When I asked why I could not have another she said, because someone else might need it. No hot water in room. Power outlets in front of main mirror didnt work for my wifes blow dryer. Im 64 300 pounds and the toilet in the bathroom is for preschool children. Wasnt able to get all my stuff in the toilet. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Bathroom extremely dirty. This hotels Gives holiday in express a bad rap. Would probably stay at holiday inn express somewhere else but defiantly not here. Stay away from this hotel.
