  Conveniently located, Clean, and Friendly

  The hotel is clean and is conveniently located to many places to eat and shop. Short drive to Virginia Tech, which is where we were headed. The staff were welcoming and gave us information on which restaurants were open as we were late and the in-hotel restaurant was closing. The room was clean and quiet. They were complying with all Covid-19 precautions and we really appreciated that.

  Retro Yet Modern...and Very Clean!

  The lobby had a cool 60s feel to it while also being modern--and the staff was welcoming and helpful, both when we checked in and checked out. They were glad we were there even though, based on the parking lot, they had a lot of guests. Since there were so many people in the hotel, I thought it might be noisy or maybe even a little dirty, but it was very clean and quiet. We never heard any other guests once we were in our room. Our room was large and well-appointed, being very conducive to handling multiple suitcases while still giving everyone space and allowing us to keep all of our bags off of the floor, which is always a feat when you're traveling with multiple people. The beds were neat, sheets nice and clean, and mattresses extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the towels were folded nicely (we loved the "bow" created by the towels as well as the points on the toilet paper rolls!). The room smelled clean, but not doused in chemicals and even the baseboards were free of dust and lint. I checked! Thank you to all the people who clean the rooms. You are doing a fantastic job! This hotel was probably the cleanest one that I've been in in years. I have been a Marriott girl for decades, but after a poor experience this week at another hotel, I'm seriously reconsidering changing my allegiance to Holiday Inn. Well done, staff at the Holiday Inn Christiansburg Blacksburg!!!

  Excellent Location and service

  It's in a great location next to Texas Roadhouse and Walmart on one side of the street with a Walgreen within a block. There is a mall right there with more restaurant options of fast food chinese, red robin, red lobster, olive garden.

  Terrible Internet

  The internet in room 507 worked ok early in the morning, but as more users got on line the internet bogged down and was unusable. Grinding and grinding and grinding without getting pages loaded. This was on multiple devices which worked just fine prior to the hotel stay, and again after leaving the hotel. When we called the front desk we were told the internet was working perfectly. Right. In that case, if you plan on using the hotel internet you may want to book a room at a different hotel. The hotel response to this was basically, "Too bad".

  amazing staff

  this was my third stay and i always enjoy my time at this hotel. The gentlemen with the glasses who checked me on the the night of the 7th was friendly and helpeful; the woman serving breakfast on the morning of the 8th was kind. room was nice and clean.
