  Shining Example of Going the Extra Mile

  We stayed here for a couple days in January 2020, and had something happen that has never happened in probably a million of our career hotel stays. The Electronic Lock on our Room Door completely and utterly malfunctioned!!! The staff of this hotel gave us another hotel room (of course, we didn't have our luggage), and we watched as they worked tirelessly to unlock our room. The front manager, security, maintenance, and other personnel .... including even the General Manager, who came in to help address this problem .... and finally they were able to open the room! The GM even offered us a drink in the bar while we waited, I meant to write this review earlier, and now I've forgotten the staff names - Tom, I think, was the Front Desk Manager, who said he was not going home until he got us in our room! That is a real commitment and dedication to making it right for the guests! We ate in the adjoining restaurant, and I will write a review on it later. This is a top notch hotel, and while they cannot guarantee that they will give you a ride to local places, we did get a ride and loved the driver, RUDY! Kind, courteous, and we really enjoyed his conversation. He even held my stuff while I climbed in and out of the van! I would certainly stay here again - comfortable and well decorated room, but the staff made this hotel a 'cut above' the rest! Also, I loved having the coffee and the lemon water available in the hotel lobby.

  Great stay all around

  Great stay at the holiday inn canton, Rudy the shuttle driver was particularly kind and helpful. It was nice to have free cold breakfast for our stay and only $5 hot breakfast if we wanted that. Very pleased.

  Shuttle driver Rudy is an angel straight from heaven!

  Rudy Mercer went well above and beyond, his customer service is top notch and a refreshing gem rare in todays society. Hes a true asset to the Holiday Inn family! I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation and he made my night so much better! Thank you so much!

  We went to an event and Rudy told us where to go and helped us out he was kind and even saw us later and ask how everything is and if there is anything else he could help with. Rudy was very considered

  We checked in Friday evening, paid $150 for a single night when its posted for $109+tax.. our room was SO outdated. Ceiling was falling apart, our door was broken to the point we struggled with opening & closing.. mesh under the bed is tore apart, wallpaper in bathroom is falling apart, the back of the door was falling off. For the most part our room was clean and so was the rest of the hotel. No TV guide, Itty bitty TV. We were told up to 10 people in the pool, we made a reservation to get in the pool because COVID restrictions and there was 12 people in the pool + they werent even staying in the hotel they were guests of others staying in the hotel. When we decided to stay a second night due to the time of the funeral we were charged $125. Still no answer into why our price was so high the first night. And the worst part of all is breakfast isnt complimentary. Pretty high room price to not even receive breakfast. The one thing I can happily say is the front desk ladies were extremely friendly.
