  Staying here was not a nice experience.

  Booked "Stay and Enjoy" for 6 nights over New Years Eve. To begin, not a smooth booking experience. Website is slow and unmodern and they do not accept Amex as online payment method. Check in is all-right, however reception staff didn't inform us about the possibility to buy a passage to the sauna area which we later found out wasn't included, when being inside the pool area in swimming-clothing. When entering the room we notice there are several spotlights in the ceiling that are broken. The bathroom has a very low standard. Toilet does not flush properly, the cheap toilet paper is like sand paper and there is only a two-in-one shampo/body wash in the shower which also has a very low pressure. The cleaning of the rooms is only made every two days and it feels rushed. Even after the cleaning was done there was still dirt on the floor. The bed is comfortable and the room was warm. The rooms really need better sound proofing however, you hear every step outside the door. We bought the Spa/Sauna-entery for the whole stay which was 300 sek per person, it included a spa kit which could be used in combination with the saunas, very pleasant stuff. We realised we had to buy entry on our second day however as earlier mentioned. The sauna area itself is very nice. Multiple different saunas in different temperatures, the hottest of them was not functioning during one day however. It is not especially relaxing if you're there the wrong time, lots of teenage kids entering, running around and talking loudly. To enter to sauna area you use a special wrist band that unlocks a revolving door. However, next to this revolving door is another door which occasionally stood open, enabling anyone to enter to sauna area, which people did. This made my girlfriend and I question why we paid 600 sek for entry in the first place. Breakfast is all-right. However, there is only sugary concentrate offered instead or real juice. During New Years Eve, we chose to spend most of the time inside the hotel room since all restaurants were closed and other gatherings would be unwise. During this time our neighbouring room had a very unpleasant experience, they got a glass bottle thrown towards their window from outside. This was a large noise and alerted everyone in the surrounding rooms. The hotel sent a security guard to check it out right away but the event didn't exactly light the mood for New Years. All and all, unfortunately not a hotel experience worth the money.

  Mainly very good

  + Nice staff , lake view , room availability ( it is huge) , gym & pools on site , room size , breakfast , ski hire on site . Skiing in Åre is excellent - Poor cleaning throughout , furnishings are tired , not enough ski/boot storage , charge for parking , it's quite a walk to the nearest lift

  Excellent

  Best place to stay in Ãre. It is part of the train station system. Close to the main slopes. Wonderful food and installations like pool, sauna and gym. Lovely staff always willing to help. Skistar inside the hotel to check all you need

  This hotel is ok, but dont have any expectations

  Good Spacious rooms Good location for downhill skiing Less good No caring welcome at check-in. We were silently handed our key, and thats it. No questions - no information. We were not informed in advance about the need to make a reservation for breakfast, and found ourselves having to eat breakfast at very inconvenient times. The sauna was closed due to the pandemic, even though the sauna was open at Copperhill nearby. There were not enough lockers for skis and we had to keep our skis in the hotel room. The breakfast had lukewarm to cold scrambled eggs and bacon 3 of 3 days. No fresh vegetables at all.

  The hotel does not seem to be suitable for skiers. No atmosphere , more like a shopping mall.

  The family rooms are very small, and not at all designed for skiers. Very limited space for ski dresses, no drying possibilities, bathroom w/o floor heating, onlt one wash sink, while there could be 2 as space is there. The family rooms are more suitable for 2 people and summervacation. Locker cabins for ski gear is limited and heating for ski boots is very limited. Food is Ok (breakfast, lunch and dinner), staff is very young <20 years old, thus experience is very limited. Staff is helpful and positive, but not proffesional. Every day we had to wait for wine /beer - food came first. Pool area is nice , but no heating in outdoor pool. Cleaning is ok. Considering the pricing of the hotel , it does not live up to the standard.
