  A character hotel. I liked the nostalgic feel from the decorations like the old singer sewing machine by the stairway.

  Generally good stay, but I was unfortunate to be in a room right next to the stairs so I heard everyone's footsteps going up and down the stairs. There was a malfunctioning basin drain valve which was serviced straightaway by the owner.

  sept. stay

  we were there in sept. for two different stays . had a good fruhstucken, clean rooms , new remodeled rooms with parking across the street. the people were very nice and had a friendly dog. we will be back. gary & Vicki schnell from north dakota

  Great breakfast, no wifi

  Family room in the guest house: big, nice, old fashioned room with comfy beds and 2 TVs but too warm covers and NO STORES and no WiFi. Not so nice shower but very clean. Absolutely amazing breakfast!!! Nice staff!

  Disappointing

  We stayed here for 2 nights in June and were somewhat disappointed. The room we had booked was 'no longer available' and we were put elsewhere. The room we were given smelled of smoke and was very hot - not even a fan was available. The attitude of the receptionist was pretty poor, and reminded me of Germany back in the 1970's - the answer is just No. Expensive and we wouldn't stay here again.

  Nice big room, but no view

  We stayed just one night our first stop during a week-long hike along the Rhine. Our room (501) was in one of the guest houses (Haus Annegret), not in the hotel building itself. The room was large, almost a suite, but it had no view whatsoever. Not too much of a problem for a one-night stay, but it's always nice to have a view. The shower was not big but plenty of pressure and hot water. The breakfast restaurant in the hotel building is very tasteful, and the breakfast was lovely. There is no hotel parking and no free parking on the road, and we needed to park our car for the week. We parked in the car park for the cable car which is just across the road from the hotel. Handy but pricy enough at 13 Euro a day (nothing to do with the hotel but just something to be aware of).
