  A very comfortable hotel in an isolated position at the bottom of a wide valley amid a golfcourse under construction (ready end of 2015). Very quiet with a nice atmosphere. Spacious room with all necessary amenities. Bathroom with shower (no tub) is well equipped and spotless. Once we had figured out how to reach the restaurant we were served in a very personal way with delightful dishes. The hotel features a beautiful spa, an indoor pool and sauna. The small museum displaying ancient objects found in the area and giving information about the limes (the border of the Roman Empire) was an interesting and pleasant surprise. Staff is most friendly and helpful. A stay in this hotel is a treat.

  Spa experience

  Excellent Hotel and staff. Excellent value for money, good for golfers!! Brilliant golf course!! Minus: Organization is poor and some staff seems to be from outsourcing company. That is not allways the best solution. We booked spa weeks ahead, yet big mass!! Make sure spa bookings are confirmed ahead of time and in writing.

  Fantastic family getaway

  Our family of 5 enjoyed 3 days at this hotel and were impressed across the board. From the service at the front desk to the quality of the rooms we were very pleased. The spa and swimming pool were fantastic and our kids made use of them for several hours each day. The spa also offers massages and other services which were also top quality. The restaurant and cafe on site are both very good and were able to cater nicely to some food allergies our family has (gluten and lactose). Whether you are an avid golfer (the course is very good, and quite challenging) or just looking for a nice location for a getaway, the Hotel Hofgut Georgenthal is worth checking out. Access to the Frankfurt airport is excellent which makes the hotel easy to get to if you are coming by plane. The price of this hotel is certainly higher than what our family would typically pay but I would honestly say it was worth every euro. Two thumbs up!!

  Business trip

  I stayed for 3 days in Georgenthal for business reasons: the hotel is located in a green area on the hills, 50 min driving from Frnkfurt. A wonderful golf park makes Georghental a real paradise for golf lovers and the surrondings an attraction for hikers and mtb bikers. Rooms confortable and clean; personnel available and smart. Ideal for working meetings. The restaurant is good, with a good quality of products. Im looking forward for my next stay there!

  Challenging golf course, fabulous hotel, friendly staff at times slow, beautiful location, wellness available.

  Our first trip away together, 5 golfers out on a Fri afternoon , played 18 holes before we could check-in because the rooms weren't ready. Free parking is available. Reception staff very friendly , room spacious clean & tidy. The bed is a bit low and doesn't have the height like in the USA or UK. The pillow ( yes , one large one ) is very soft and doesn't really give any neck support. Don't expect a kettle to make yourself a cuppa or a coffee - reception told me they're not allowed to have them in the rooms due to the Safety Regulations etc. I found the free wi-fi very weak and in a lot of places no constant signal, I didn't have a telephone signal for the two days I was there " no news is good news " . For the 19th we sat outside in the Kaminlounge area, weather was still warm and sunny, we ordered 5 drinks it took ages for them to be served and the place wasn't even busy! It looked like they had lots of students working as seasonal service staff. For dinner we went to the Hotels' 'Giorgios Restaurant' - a la carte - check their website out - it's really informative and also in English! We couldn't complain about the service and the food was just delicious to excellent and the prices quite reasonable. The breakfast buffet was what you expect for the class of hotel except for the fact that they didn't have a working toaster of any kind ( and they don't cost the earth ) for so many breakfast guests! All in all we had a great two days, the green fees are relatively dear e.g. 90,- for 18 holes plus 30,- for a cart. Check their homepage out for the actual prices.
