  Peaceful Place.

  Going to this place will take 1-2 hours from Port of Davao using boat. Once you've arrived, your butler will give you refreshing drinks before you go to your room. It's so nice that you have your own butler, just ring the bell and dang!! Here she/he comes..hahahaha. There's a pool and jacuzzi (you need to take the 300 steps). The foods/drinks are expensive but still good (You have no choice). You can either eat at your room or at the beach. We prefer to eat at the beach which we can see that sunset/sunrise. BTW, we chose Bungalow for our room since we were 3. It includes 1 big and small bed, with Rest Room inside, AC, TV (no signal sometimes), and mini ref with drinks (It's not free). No free water. Chickens, birds, dogs are roaming around and fish pond. There's wifi but not that fast. (My data is faster than the WIFI!). We went there November 2018.

  Love this place!

  It's been wonderful both times we have stayed here. The service is excellent, the rooms clean and comfortable. Food delicious, If I was going to be picky, the only thing I would wish for would be a few more available activities to do, Kayaking and Jetski are fun, but It would be nice to have snorkel kit for hire, as the sea water is so clear here. Maybe a pool table or a dart board. Not a big deal as relaxing is also the key thing to do here.

  Romantic Hideaway

  This one cannot be imagined. A fifty-meter stretch of waterfront not rockstrewn and mangroved and viola: you have the venue for a resort! Six beachfront cabins (at 100 US dollars a night, if your hostess Frau April deigns to offer you a discount), with additional cottages stretching up a hillside where approaching the summit is located the office, only internet access point, and the pool. This place is accessed by boat only, from the Gorei pier, a substantial structure the likes of which gives pause to muse about Hof cash flows. Ok, why would you possibly want to come here? We suspect the name Hof is like catnip to every native Deutsch folk passing through Davo: to a man theyre here with their filippina consorts. And your hostess has indeed fitted out the cabins into charming love nests: canopied beds, well-curtained and private, in the rustic functional style. The safe was not open, and we didnt ask why. We have no criticism of the room itself: what more can you expect at one hundred USD a night on an island in the middle of nowhere? And you soon know where you are when confronted with 43 peso charges per each half-liter of water you consume. There is absolutely nothing on the extensive and ambitious menu that we would think of doing a repeat. Anticipate at barest minimum 1000 pesos couple per feeding, not including drinks. A limited breakfast is included in the room fare. With an employee assigned to each room, management does not miss opportunities to sell food and drink. We wouldnt be surprised if each butler had a quota. An excursions and activity menu is comprised of jetski or island hopping. There is a volleyball court which strangely is not raked, while the grounds in general are well-tended. We saw no evidence of the type of shabbiness noted by other reviewers, other than bird droppings, primarily the result of ducks and geese the presence of which seem to serve no purpose (theyre not on the menu) other than owing to the whims of Frau April, your hostess. A romantic weekend getaway to unwind? A once-in-a-lifetime experience? There did appear to be guests whod been here before, which we could only imagine indicates a dearth of options an hours boat ride from Davao. Special shout out for lovers of cats and dogs that sit at your feet waiting for handouts while you dine: they lose patience, if you are insufficiently attentive, kindly anticipate a scratch or two. All part of the charm of the Hof Gorei.

  Quiet, semi-private white sand beach Resort

  This place is a little off the beaten track but the serenity is worth it. A nice garden like environment leading up to a hill with a spectacular view of Mt. Apo. A spring fed swimming pool. A clean, white sand beach with tables tastefully spaced. Very good food and very good service.

  A Quiet De-stress

  The round hut is very classy. You will see the whole Davao Gulf iff you peek by the window. The pool's cleanliness is well-maintained. Foods are cooked and presented very well, and very delicious. Kudos to the butlers and the entire staff, who are very attentive and quick to the needs of the guests. We'll definitely visit again soon.
