  Fun stay

  We booked here last minute and appreciated being able to stay at on just a Saturday. The common areas are great, with a vintage German theme. This hotel oozes history without being too formal or stuffy. We were greeted with no smile; the lady at the front desk, while not mean, was definitely curt and unpleasant; not a great first impression. The rooms could definitely use a refresh; the shower pressure was virtually nonexistent. Our room (117) had a cute porch off to the side, so this is definitely a good room to request. It has 2 fabulous pools and a hot tub; sitting in the hot tub with the fog and rain was definitely a highlight. Breakfast the next morning very good. This was a great stay and we hope to be back!

  Nice hotel, beautiful view

  We stayed here during the Pandemic instead of going to beach where it would be super crowded. The views from this hotel are beautiful. It is a historic hotel that gave us THE SHINNING vibes. Rooms were clean. But no maid service unless requested. It would of been nice to have a refrigerator in room since we went out to eat for every meal because nothing was really open at hotel to eat. You could eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at hotel from one spot with a limited menu and limited space. The out door pool was great. Also had an indoor pool. This is a hotel for an older crowd. Maybe it would be better if we visited after covid.

  Cozy hotel with unmatched views

  We didnt get to experience the entire hotel since we went during covid and all the restaurants were closed except for breakfast (which was fantastic) Our room was very small but comfortable. You cant beat the views and nostalgia.

  Great location Great stay

  Stayed at the Summit Inn after biking on the GAP. Great view of the foliage. Very charming decor. Nice hospitality. Staff went over and beyond to accommodate. This place definitely has character. We plan to come back

  Historic hotels

  We stayed two nights at the Summit Inn. It is a great old time hotel. The staff is friendly and efficient. The hotel has old world charm. We cant wait to go back when the restaurants are open. It is a great location to see Fort Wilderness, Falling Water and Kentucky Knob. The Ohio Pyle Park is close by too.
