Business trip
Good place, the room is correct, clean and the restaurant very good. I particularly appreciated the server who make the effort to speak French with me. The breakfast was vas very complete with all kind of food.

The hotel is OK, the food not so much
The hotel has no A/C, FYI for summer. The rooms (4 person) is large and the bathroom oversized - nice. The breakfast is extra and not as good as some others. We did dine one nights there and the restaurant was under renovation, so the menu was smaller and the food really average yet high priced. I don't recommend eating there or paying for the breakfast - but the rooms are nice if you don't need A/C.

Worst bed ever and terrible staff attitude to the guest experience.
I stayed in one of the Hotel apartments presented as a room with three beds. Two of the beds in the room were a slide out sofa - no real bed. It was so uncomfortable that we could not sleep at all. It was essentially a wooden plank with 4cm of foam on top. The worst part was that when we complained and suggested a discount as this was not actually a bed, the response from the staff was unbelievable. They reiterated that there were 3 sleeping places available in this room and that we used sheets and pillows etc. They charged us the same amount to sleep on a plank of wood in their apartment as they did for other guests to sleep comfortably on box spring beds in the main rooms. Our trip and bad experience was compounded by the room stinking of smoke. The hotel is well located and generally OK, but given their disrespect to guests and ambivalence to our experience, I would never stay their again. We were a group of many and they have lost steady annual business from a large group over this - but they didn't seem to care.

Great Option for Larger Families- Great Location
We chose this because of the location- just north of our day's travel planned across the Black Forest - just south of Stuttgart. Very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very clean and plenty of room for our family of five. The staff was very friendly and check-in was a breeze. The beds were a little hard and most were pull out chairs/couches, but the kids slept fine- minimal complaints at night, but ended up liking the beds. Breakfast was excellent- it was well worth the slightly higher price for the selection, the freshness of everything, and the polite helpful staff. This included a full carafe of coffee, when I showed up a little early to enjoy a few minutes reading. The only negative was the restaurant for dinner - But that is for another review...

Great place for Families
Nice and Cozy Hotel in a quite location. Being vegetarian from India, Breakfast option was relatively less. There are small and medium sized restaurants around the place. 10-15 minutes bus journey to Esslingen, that's the best part. We had a early morning walk in the locality around the Hotel, such serene place. Just loved it. For someone who wants to avoid the busy Stuttgart city stay, this is a very nice option.
