  Nice little place

  Up a set of steps and into the lobby. It is a little dated but the staff are lovely and the place is clean. The room was basic but had the extras of toothbrushes, shower gels etc. Moulded bathroom (as they can be) was spotless. Room was quiet too. Location is central, 20 mins by tram from JR station and 5 mins walk to the main shopping precinct and 15 mins to the peace museum etc. Would recommend it if you're not staying too long and want good value with a central location.

  Excellent location - close to landmarks

  Very nice, clean hotel walking distance to most landmarks. Friendly staff - although they do not speak English much, but always willing to help. We truly enjoyed our 2 night stay and wish we had stayed longer! If you are travelling using a Japan Rail pass, you can take the Hiroshima Sightseeing bus (green line, stop #10) for free to Hiroshima Rich Hotel.

  Needs full refurbishing

  Very basic hotel. The best thing was the low price we paid. Staff friendly and with adequate English knowledge. As for the location, it's not close to public transportation. All of the hotel needs an urgent full refurbishing. This means rooms, bathrooms and públic areas.

  Excellent location but extremely small rooms!

  We chose this hotel based on our excellent experience in Kyoto. This hotel has excellent location (Very close to Hiroshima memorial park and Museum)which is fantastic. Surroundings of this Hotel are fantastic too, with many options to eat, drink, and shop. The Hotel itself was not that good though. Rooms are extremely small: you roughly have space to put your luggage and one side of the bed is against the wall...Bathroom is extremely small and it feels like being in a motorhome. When you are couple these rooms feel like being in a tent. Room was clean and quiet, though. I would stay here again for its location, but I hesitate to choose this place again given the small room we were allocated. If space is important for you, keep this in mind; if location is important, this place should be among your options.

  Engish sign is so tiny

  Hotel was kind of hard to find. It is the oldest hotel I stayed in Japan. Very small TV. Only one washer and dryer, but the front desk was very helpful and found a washateria within a walking distance. If free breakfast was the deciding factor you will be very disappointed. They serve what we eat on the way to get breakfast. It was a bit over priced, but it has a good location.
