  Excellent hotel with lovely amenities. Duty managers were very professional and prompt. Specifically Prahlad trek/ Himanshu F&B/ sampada from reception made my stay memorable. This is excellent place for corporate visits and parties. We highly recommend this hotel.

  Serene slice amidst nature with just a few things to be improved

  We Stayed here for a family get together. The journey from the highway to the retreat especially last 15kms is simply bone breaking with horrible roads. Once you reach the estate you are greeted by lush green valley and a feeling very few resorts would offer. You are transported to your villa in their Nano cars which need maintainence. Our particular experience was little sour as the villa Offered did not have hot water and it required them to change my villa due to the same. I felt this needs to be looked into before a villa is handed over as a guest after such an arduous journey would like to rest and not get into change of villas etc. Neverthless other things in terms of feel of the whole stay and food was decent but again a small mention, on asking of mineral water we were told it's not available and need to manage with their own water. That's not expected out of a 5 star property. Rooms were very spacious but low on amenities. Still the kind of blessing they have from nature, if they improve on certain areas, they surely would be the best place to visit for a perfect retreat.

  The Good and the bad

  Hilton Shillim is a wonderful property that gets you away from the city and closer to nature It has lovely villas separated from each other and with a lot of privacy We were a family of 5 and had booked two pool villas close to each other (206 and 207) The private pools which come pool villas are fairly large and are well maintained Rooms are big and can accommodate 3 adults with one extra bed Resort has 2 main restaurants that are open during the Covid pandemic - the Terrazo which is Multi-Cusine with a predominantly Indian menu and the Mountain View Bar which has an Italian menu Travel within the resort is not easy as the roads have steep slopes and it gets tiring if you are going up ... the resort has nano cars which ferry you around at a call with a round 5-15 mins waiting Staff is very friendly and willing to help and check in is fast .. while check out can take some time They organise lovely morning walks (45 mins) at 8 am which are complimentary The forest walk is easier .. while the lake view walk is along steeper terrain and may be tough for the elderly and young children I also read somewhere that they do walks along the stream during rains The road to the resort (if you are driving from Mumbai) is bad for the last stretch .. the last 15 kms can take 1 hour .. due to large pot holes and unpaved roads Have included a video of the pool area of the pool villa .. The areas where the resort lacks a little 1. While booking - the resort phone numbers were impossible to get through to from Mumbai So I used a booking website to book the resort 2. The staff in the restaurants seems overworked and under trained (maybe due to lesser staff during Covid) and often misses orders .. this happened twice to us.. Also, during breakfast, they should have basic things like salt and pepper and ketchup on every table .. takes a lot of time for the staff to get these 3. The menu is very restricted .. so not much choice .. and there are no buffets due to Covid 4. Checkout took 30-40 mins as no one came to get our luggage for a long time and they also took a lot of time to get the car out of parking 5. They have a contact less menu.. where you can scan it from a bar code .. but they make you physically sign a bill .. I feel that the bill should also be contactless 6. Access roads to the resort should be repaired However, all in all it was a good break from the city

  Absolute Bliss - Just Book and Go - Stop Thinking :-)

  Returning back to Shillim to take a break with family, fab time, completed bliss, chilled back, lazed around in sun and didint feel like leaving at all. Shillim info you will find in the extensive reviews written and I will add a few lines here - Contactless menu is there but does gets affected due to net coverage and easily overcome by the menu being sent on your whatapp number. Staff from house keeping to in room dining to the restaurants to the camp management team are absolutely spot in their service and this just makes it a class apart. Breakfasts were great (you cant stop eating every dish available) in their simplicity and taste small minor cutbacks from the buffets seen earlier in current covid times. In Room to Restaurants Great Food however if you want something different the Chef's are all out to satisfy your taste buds so you cannot possible leave this hotel for without wanting for more. We did not do treks this time as simply got lazy but the treks are phenomenal and as monsoons are coming up be sure to plan to take the river walk and the guys to coordinate are Pratik and Vishal. Movement around this huge property is by nano car and give it abt 10 mins to arrive before you actually want to move anywhere. I was also travelling with a senior citizen and drivers took extra care to drop nearest to every location we visited. Some villas will have a ramp which makes it very much comfortable for folks to move - this was done by the Hilton Staff during check in without asking for it (I was actually unaware some villas had this provision). A Small but A Special Note of Thanks to Miss Deba (Duty Manager) for making this trip awesome and yes Great job to the Recruitment Team - Hilton Shillim - It Shows Why It Is A Class Apart "Kudos to the entire team"

  A refreshing and safe stay amidst the corona scare

  We went there for 3 nights in January 2021 for our anniversary and the hotel was extremely clean and sanitised and everyone was wearing masks at all time. We booked the forest view king villa... Only breakfast was included, and they had a set menu for breakfast from which you can order. Everything was to die for. The chefs handling Indian and continental section both were extremely good. We booked for our anniversary dinner which came with a beautiful place setting with complimentary drinks and cake.. It was taken care of so perfectly. We loved it. We went for the forest walk also, very delightful experience and went to visit the farm also. My kid was super excited to meet the horses and the house cat. All in all a very good and pleasant stay apart from the last 10 kms of road leading to the resort everything was perfectly fine. That road is extremely bad, its better to take the longer route through Pawna Lake side.
