  Nice hotel, Starbucks?

  Stayed here previously, good one night visit but in morning wanted to get two coffee at Starbucks in lobby before long ride home.No one behind the counter but a womans pocketbook or bag was sitting out in view behind counter. Waited 5 minutes, no one shows. Go to front Hilton desk, asked employee if Starbucks person would be there. Told she probably went to back. 5 minutes later still no clerk. Asked Hilton person again, says nothing but heads back to rear area, Im thinking shes going to get her. 5 minutes later, no clerk, ask same Hilton employee again where is Starbucks person? Her reply was now I dont know. we leave after telling her this is ridiculous. Now, I realize this was not a huge deal but if area is open make sure someone is there and Hilton should ensure that normal service is provided. And tell missing clerk not to leave her stuff sitting out.

  COVID hot spot with terrible service

  Checked into hotel and room reservation was given to other, forced to take a smaller lower grade room. After going to room found out there was a corn hole tournament on second floor with large crowds of people with no mask wondering around halls and open hotel area. Hotel management stated that they could not deal with the mask rules and the group was too large to police. Regardless of how well they clean the room, the exposure opportunity in the hotel was extremely high. Would recommend staying somewhere else, where they care about the health in the whole hotel, not just your room.

  Incredible customer service!

  I dont live in Pennsylvania so this was an out there trip for me. About five hours one way. I brought a pillow with me that Ive had since I was born and realized after I got home that I had left it at the hotel. I called several times throughout the day/night, probably annoying them to no end and everyone was super sweet and sympathetic about the situation even though to a person looking in it doesnt seem like a huge deal. They helped me to track down my pillow and assured me theyd help get it back to me and they shipped it right to my house, being extremely nice and sweet the whole time I was bothering them. They made me feel a lot better about the situation and Im sure many other hotels would have just thrown it away when they cleaned the room. I am extremely grateful to the head of housekeeping and anyone else who helped me. And not to mention the service while we were there was great too! The man at the front desk showed me all of the best places to go in Scranton. It was a great trip and even in annoying situations I can see that they are kind the whole way!

  Average at best

  The staff is very friendly and accommodating when they could, but honestly this hotel really isnt well kept. We booked it because it was a good package for skiing for the weekend. I understand its COVID and there are many challenges but if you are going to be open for business then do it right. Our bathroom shower had mold growing on the tile. There werent enough towels when we wanted to shower in the evening (we booked 3 rooms!) and we were told they werent out of the dryer yet. Granted when done they did bring them up but that was 11:30pm. I am sitting in the lobby right now and there is hard rock music blasting and its 12pm - I cant even have a conversation with my husband. The lobby is dirty, food on the carpet, a plastic spoon laying on the floor next to me right now. Sorry guys, but you can do better.

  Hilton pushes political agenda and lies about it

  I'm actually not much of a cable news watcher, but while waiting to check out of my room I did some channel surfing. Going through the lineup of ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, etc. I noticed there was no Fox News. I looked at the channel guide from the cable provider and there it was, Fox News on channel 15. So I tried again and browsed channels 11, 12, 13, 14, 16 -- no channel 15. So I clicked "1 5" on the remote and it went right to MSNBC channel 16. I asked the front desk and she said she didn't know. She got a printed channel guide and told me that yes, Hilton does have Fox News in the lineup. When she walked away I looked at the guide and saw it did NOT list Fox News -- she lied to me. Seems Hilton has the arrogance to chose what I - an owner of a multi-million dollar company - am allowed to hear or see. I would like to know who at Hilton thinks they're uniquely qualified to regulate the news their guests are allowed to watch. I would also like to know if it's part of Hilton's corporate culture to exhibit so much distain for their paying customers to unabashedly lie about this. I've traveled around the world, and this is the behavior one expects staying in Moscow, Beijing, Riyadh, or Caracas -- not the United States. As of today, no employees of mine will be allowed to stay at a Hilton property until this is rectified. And please save your time blaming some technical glitch - my company is a tech company and the lie will be obvious.
