Check bill on departureCant fault Covid procedures at all. Rooms breakfast etc very good. However, To avoid pointless contact and delays used app to get Digital Key...App brilliant, even shows Hotel layout so you can take your time to pick the best room for your requirements. On arrival digital key not working and allocated different floor and room, had to stand at reception with clothes and bags whilst issue resolved. Not great during Covid? On departure invoice received via e mail. Later that day a further invoice received. Overcharged and payments showing out of account and also duplicate payments showing in pending on bank. Called Hotel and advised them of issues. Agreed overcharged and refund done next day. However, despite calls to Hotel pending payments still showing on account 72 hrs later and no call back from Hotel. Overall ruined my stay and very poor customer service. Be aware of invoices and check before departure.

Well RecommendedWe stayed here on a 5 day coach trip. We were apprehensive being away from home due to Covid 19 but we were very impressed by all the measures taken at the hotel. The staff are all friendly and efficient. The food excellent. We would not hesitate to return.

Brilliant serviceStayed at the hilton Hotel Sunderland. Spoke with the manager in the karbon grill, he was called bekir,. Absolutely brilliant service and such a genuine friendly guy. Would come back just to speak with him. What a guy!

Thank you!Just returned from 1 night at the Hotel and a big well done and thank you, to all the staff here. Had to return to Sunderland for a family bereavement and used the Hilton,, as its our "Go to" hotel when we return. A warm and friendly welcome on arrival from Mark on reception. This man deserves a special mention, as he was more than helpful in helping us out and understanding our situation. A big thank you from all the family who were there. All the staff we encountered, were helpful and cheerful. Hilarious entertainment watching them putting up the Christmas tree.The hotel has high standards and strives to achieve these, even during these trying times. The room was warm, clean, quiet and comfortable. Just as expected. We had room service, which arrived within 15 minutes. It was only pizza, but hot, tasty and huge. No doubt we will return again next year. Thank you again.

Moving houseI stayed here for 3 nights after I sold my house. Staying in a Hotel during a pandemic is a very odd experience. There were hardly any guests so, apart from the first night, there was no room service. It wasnt a problem. All the Reception staff were really lovely, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. When normality returns the location makes it perfect for visiting the coast and countryside.
