  Bueno que decir de esta sorpresa, un excelente hotel con una gran comida, buenos cuartos con muy buena calidad de sabanas y toallas, amplios, baños perfectos y un restaurante gourmet, que mas puedes esperar.

  Cute hotel in downtown Sioux Falls

  Hilton Gardens is a very nice hotel but due to construction problems on the bridge and spotty GPS service, it was hard to get to this hotel - we literally drove around and around for a good half an hour before calling the front desk to find a way to the hotel. We could SEE the hotel, but with the various construction barriers on many one-way streets, it took awhile. But the room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the pillows were especially comfortable. The staff was not very personable, but guess that's what you get with the younger generation nowadays. Sorry. But based solely on the room, it was great. Hilton's always a great hotel.

  Mary at front desk is amazing! She is very good at her job and obviously enjoys it very much. She is very knowledgeable, personable and provided excellent customer service!! Thank you Mary for making the stay great!

  This should be rated a ZERO stars

  My first hint should have been a lady on the elevator when I first arrived complaining to me this is the most unclean hotel she has been in. I got to my room and noticed the tile floor and carpet had not been cleaned in many days. The furniture is outdated and beat up as if it was in a flea ridden motel of old. Picture frames were damaged and had some leftover of liquid on some of them. The desk was a mess. The side table was the same. The desk chair was literally broken. When I went to bed, I pulled down the comforter and there was no sheet. I had the comforter that everyone sits on and uses against my body and up against my face. I stopped at the desk in the morning and received a lukewarm reception to this information. They finally showed up around 5:00 in the evening that day to clean the room. They said someone would come to fix the chair, and that they were not aware of the issue. Then, they changed linens and did not put a top sheet on again. When I signed up, there was a complimentary breakfast, which is a need for me when I choose a hotel for business. They told me they have never served complimentary breakfast. I looked back, and the confirmation came with a place I could click for amenities. There was no complimentary breakfast on the specific hotel website. It was only shown on the Hilton Honors website. DO NOT STAY AT THIS DIRTY EXCUSE FOR A HOTEL.

  A fine downtown hotel along the river.

  The bad news is I can't give a huge review as I arrived about 4-5 hours later than I intended to so I didn't get to explore much. I wanted a downtown hotel so I could walk to areas of interest in downtown Sioux Falls. Didn't get much of a chance to do that due to my late arrival, but if that's important to you, this is a fine location. This was my first trip during the Covid pandemic and I felt safe. Everything seemed clean and the restaurant off the lobby where I had breakfast had tables social distanced. The wifi worked well which was handy as I did some on-the-fly research for my vacation. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and I slept well after an all-day drive. The shower was powerful and hot. There's a patio that faces the river and I'm sure that's a great place to relax, but I didn't have time to use it. I saw a small room with a few washers and dryers so if you need to do laundry it's available. Being downtown you can walk to some restaurants easily. The only negative is the parking lot was full, but there is a garage underneath the building. Had I found it first I would have just driven down the ramp. It looks pretty full the Saturday I arrived, but I just took the first spot I found so it might have had more spots in back. The riverwalk at the back of the hotel with get you to Falls Park in around 5-7 minutes. I used that to explore the park and one reason I selected this hotel. If I ever get the chance to do a long weekend in Sioux Falls I'll likely select this Hilton Garden Inn.
