  agradable estadía

  Estuve 2 días para asistir a un congreso en el centro de convenciones de New Orleans. A pesar de estar alejado, el servicio gratuito de shuttle al aeropuerto y su amable chofer, pude combinar con el bus hacia el centro. El hotel es un poco antiguo pero estaba limpio y la habitación era confortable y óptimamente climatizada. El hotel tiene un restaurante muy accesible y con comida sabrosa, el personal del mismo es muy amable, igual que la gente del front desk. El desayuno es muy sabroso (incluye jugos naturales y muffins caseros).

  UN HOTEL AGRADABLE

  Ee un hotel que se ve con una apariencia fresca con bonita decoracion, la habitacion estaba ideal para nuestra necesidad y el hecho que acepten el programa de HHONNORS da una opcion interesante para considerarlo en un viaje.

  Customer service

  Rude front desk staff . Called several times for pick up from the airport and the van service is not there in a timely manner . During one of the calls , the female front desk staff member(sounding upset with this call ) hung up the phone while I was speaking to her . . A return call to the hotel was made and this was mentioned to the other service member answering this phone call . The transportation van finally arrived and several of us were transported to the hotel . As we were signing the reservation sheet , the female customer service representative working the front desk, made repetitive comments defending the actions of her coworker in a very loud voice for all to hear ., her actions were totally uncalled for .

  A nice place to stay

  I stayed here before my flight out of NOLA. I liked the hotel. Our room was nice and clean. I had a very comfortable stay. The location is great for airport travel, a quick trip to your flight. We will stay here again.

  An Airport Hotel - This is Not

  First of all the Hotel is advertised as The Hilton Garden Inn Airport New Orleans. It is actually located closer to Lake Pontchartrain and the floating Casino than it is to the Airport. Approaching the Hotel it was oddly dark and most of the lights were out in the parking lot making one wonder if it was vacant or even a hotel. The Hotel is approximately 20 years old and it shows every year of it's age. Wear and tear over time is expected but quite frankly this was not in our opinion a Hotel that carried the banner of the Hilton Brand and high standards. Once in the room it did not get any better. The room had been changed from the one we selected online because the cleaning staff had not completed cleaning the original room before their shift departure at 4:00 PM. To the manager's credit she "Inspected" our Originally assigned room and made the decision to assign us a new room because of this issue.. But we do not think that she was using a checklist on which to make the decision for there were several other noted deficiencies that were apparent to us as well. These included: * Smoke detector non-function and loosely hanging from the wall mount * One one Bath Towel for two adults to share * There was a picture missing from the mounts in the room - Odd Additionally, the hand railing in the hotel elevator was extremely loose. And my final point reverts to my initial point. Airport Hotels generally have and provided a shuttle service to and from the airport. This hotel which claimed to be an Airport Hotel did not have a shuttle. We initially booked this hotel on both ends of our spring break vacation in and out of New Orleans using our Hilton Honors points. After arriving at this hotel and experiencing these issues we immediately cancelled our follow on booking and created another reservation with the New Orleans Hilton Airport on Airline Drive which did have a shuttle and could more effectively accommodate our needs. The two hotels are night and day experiences. Don't spend your time and hard earned dollars at Hilton Garden Inn unless you want to Gamble at the casino and then under the cover of darkness slip back into your room without the use of a shuttle - because there isn't one.
