    Wonderful stay in Pittsfield

    We had a wonderful 3-night stay at the HGI in Pittsfield. The hotel is conveniently located between Lenox and Pittsfield, just up the hill from Guido's. The room was spacious and clean, bed comfortable, wifi was a bit slow at times (forcing us to talk, ha ha!). Check-in process was smooth. The restaurant is great! ... Asian/Korean style in addition to the regular stuff. We had breakfast there all 3 mornings ... service was prompt and the food was excellent! We also ordered food from the restaurant ... taste/quality was perfect; the woman handling the orders did quite well despite the number of orders there were! Overall, we were very happy with this stay and will return next time we're in the area. Oh, and if you're there on Fri or Sat, be sure to go to Pittsfield Rye, right next door, for some freshly-baked bread that's really tasty ... nothing like a local bakery!

    Great Choice for The Berkshires

    Came up from CT to have a change of scenery during an at-home Covid summer. I think these folks really had their act together, everyone in masks, ample use of hand sanitizer, constant wiping of all services and contactless whenever possible. Elevators single-occupant or families, only. Staff had their "A" game on for sure. Thanks to Colleen for the warm welcoming reception, and for accommodating my room request. Room was spotless and the door sealed to indicate it had been disinfected, nice touch. Bonus was the excellent Asian Fusion restaurant on the property, Jae's. I am used to Garden Inns' having the usual pub food. This was a nice surprise, especially considering the location. I am not comfortable eating in restaurants right now ,so did take-out. But it was packed with happy-looking folks, ditto the outdoor patio. Overall, a fine experience. And I will be returning in September.

    Covid getaway

    The Hilton Garden Inn always makes us feel like we are at home. They know us already and make my son with special needs feel so welcome. Colleen Wright always gives us special attention! We continue to come back several times a year!

    Great Autumn visit to the Berkshires

    Excellent location off highway; front staff is very warm and helpful; room was clean (although no maid service offered during Covid); supplies such as towels, etc. provided fresh daily on request. Easy to travel to downtown Lenox, Great Barrington, hiking trails, Stockbridge, etc. Restaurant in hotel is wonderful - we had 2 breakfasts there and an amazing dinner! Would highly recommend for a Berkshires visit and would absolutely stay there again!

    Birthday weekend

    We came to the Berkshires for a birthday weekend. Having stayed at the hotel previously, we were looking forward to being away for the first time in months due to Covid. I requested a room on the first floor, and we were fortunate to get one near an external entrance so we did not have to enter through the lobby. When we checked in, around 9pm, we were impressed with how clean the room was. Unfortunately, the walls were very thin, and there was a barking dog in the adjacent room. We figured that the dog was barking because of the noise we made unpacking. However, the dog continued to bark for the next hour, and you could even hear the dog at the front desk. Finally, by 10:30pm, we couldnt tolerate it any longer, so the front desk was very accommodating and gave us another room. We kept all our clothes in the old room and just slept (peacefully) in the new room. It was explained to us that pets are not allowed but the dog was a service animal. I have observed many service dogs but have never seen/heard one continuously bark for hours on end. Unfortunately, the owner did nothing to calm the dog. While this was an inconvenience, I would like to stress how wonderful the hotel staff was. The young woman working at the front desk, Malyah, was very understanding and could not have been more accommodating. She even left word at the front desk with the manager, Patty, who went out of her way to make it up to us without me even asking. Both Malyah and Patty truly understand kindness and customer service. We look forward to staying at this hotel again. Thank you Malyah and Patty!
