    Comfy bed, negligent staff

    We stay for the comfortable beds and water pressure; we wouldnt stay again due to the negligent staff. While it is encouraging to see signs indicating mask usage, it is quite discouraging to see staff wearing masks below their chins, below their noses, and, in two instances, pulling them down and away from their faces to converse with one another. Cleaning a room is great, but surface transmission pales in comparison to person-to-person risk. Hotel staff encounter many people traveling from different areas, they need to understand the risk to themselves and their loved ones and the risks they pose to their guests.

    CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN

    This is the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed; it was spotless!! This is especially reassuring during necessary travel in the time of coronavirus. All employees wore masks, hand sanitizer stations are everywhere, the room had a cleaned sticker on door handle, remote was wrapped in saran wrap (changed between occupants), and two packages of hand wipes provided. Service was outstanding. Small brown paper lunch bags were provided for a grab and go continental breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers! I still brought my own cleaning supplies and thoroughly disinfected the room immediately upon our arrival.

    Reviews are not accurate.

    This was not a usual visit. Ive come accustomed to the Hilton brand and this is not what I expected. I was gracefully welcomed upon check in. Even though I checked in early which was greatly appreciated the service was no where near my standards of a Garden Inn. I woke up late the next day and although COVID-19 has made us change the way we do things; customer service should be a bigger priority than previously. When I arrived downstairs. I was greeted with no breakfast. But a person who arrived after me got coffee, snacks, juices ( from marketplace) and 4 microwaveable-sandwiches. What I got breakfast ended at 9AM..... then the next person was charge $5 for a pop, chips, and candy bar..... I was charged over $10 for the same items. Which means Diamond status does not mean a darn thing. Not only was it different standards for each person. This morning employee lacked any Hilton name badge, uniform, or hospitality. And showed everyone her tattoos, sweatshirt, and blue jeans. From now on I will do my due diligence regarding where I stay in Tennessee. Do I use my Marriott Butler status or my newly realized not worth anything Diamond status. Also, not sure who wrote the last reviews of this particular hotel. Because its not a new location because the room I had did not have any of the updated Hilton comforts. My recommendation: if you have no choice to use a Hilton brand do not pick Hilton Garden Inn. Look at other Hilton locations for this area. Then if those are not for you use Marriott! I will be back in the area next month for 2 weeks and Marriott seems like their hotels are actually diamond status.

    Clean and Safe!

    This was a great great place even with the limited amenities due to Covid. The staff was absolutely fabulous and you couldn't ask for friendlier people. The doors were sealed showing the room was clean and santitized. I haven't stayed in many places since COVID, but I felt at ease at this location.

    COVID Scary!

    Our room was not clean. The surfaces had not been wiped down (coffee grinds were on the counter by the coffee machine, coffee spots were on the bedside table along with syrup and sticky floors), the inside of the microwave had dried melted cheese in it. The linens were clean but everything else was really uncomfortably unsanitary. There was only one set of towels in the bathroom. There was only decaffeinated coffee packet in the room. When I went to the front desk to ask for a second set of towels the evening front desk clerk was rude. He was wearing his mask below his chin and when we politely asked if he would cover up, he turned surly. We arrived late after a 14 hour day drive and would have left if we weren't so tired and had another easy option nearby. It was awful. The hallways were freezing cold, the tv was stuck on subtitle with no way to change it as the remote was DirecTV, not the factory remote. We went to sleep uneasy about contamination, and I'm a gold level Hilton Honors guest accustomed to the vagaries of the road.
