    Breakfast service makes this place stand out

    Excellent service for breakfast- the cheery and accommodating waitress and the perfectly cooked to order omelets separate this place from the usual HGI. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Good location for biz in Northern Virginia

    My Uncle's 90th Birthday Celebration

    I and many family members from Baltimore, Canada, California, Oklahoma, and other locations stayed at this Hilton Gardens Inn Falls Church for a short family reunion and 90th birthday celebration.Excellent location, exceptionally nice staff, clean and comfortable rooms, very nice pool with hot tub, and delicious breakfast. My only problem was that because I was given a special (lower) offered by Hilton, I was then told I was required to pay for breakfast, even though I'm a Hilton Honors long-time, loyal guest.

    Skip this hotle and go 3 miles up the road to the other HIlton at Tysons. Cheaper and much better customer service!

    First, when I got to the hotel, the doors were locked and the front desk person told me due to COVID she has to protect herself at 6:15 in the evening. Every time someone came to the door she would have to go open up the door. But the story gets better. I rented a room through Hilton.com and the price was $125.40. When I got to the hotel, they would not honor the price and wanted to charge me $144. I spoke with the front desk personnel and she would not honor it and she told me I needed to contact her general manager, David Welliver. I called him, emailed him and he would not speak to me. He then proceeded to call back to the front desk and cancel my room. All I wanted was them to honor the Hilton price and they would not do so they canceled my room instead of speaking with me. I had proof that the room was $125.40 yet they wanted to charge me $144. The front desk person blew me up and waited on at least four other people before dealing with me. Every time the phone rang she made the comment that oh I need to get this and then she would take the phone around to the corner and I could hear her talking to either talking to the front desk manager or the general manager, She told whoever she was on the phone with that none of the prices were not coming up right and she didnt know what to do. So, either the front desk personnel had no idea what she was doing or there was a glitch in the system. She told the two other situations she said that she would fix their issues in the morning, but she canceled my hotel room per the general manager. I still do not understand why it was canceled. If this is Hilton's way, I dont want anything to do with Hilton anymore. But unfortunately, this is a franchise, and this is the franchise's way of dealing with issues rather than Hilton's way of dealing with issues. If I was Hilton, I would want to back out of that franchise contract because they are not following the protocol of handling their customers in the Hilton way. BTW, I went up the road three miles and stayed at another Hilton Garden Inn at Tysons. $20 cheaper than falls church and had not one issue! If you like Hilton brands, stay at Tysons and you will have no issues!

    SKIP this Hotel!!

    Very poor customer service. Many better places to stay in the area that will reward Diamond status. Go to Tysons Corner-less expensive and many more upgrades and MUCH better customer service!! Seriously, AVOID at all costs!

    Top notch and relaxing

    Long awaited reunion and we couldnt have found a better location. Its off the beaten pass but minutes away from 66 and 495. Close walking distance to restaurants, the post office and short drive to supermarket and other businesses. Very clean and comfortable rooms and immediate areas. If you go Ms. Dayna or Mr Jeffrey will definitely make you feel at home. Very professional and wonderful personalities even during this unsettling experience they still went up and beyond to assure I was taken care of within the guidelines. This location is definitely a must if you want to relax and still be close to options.
