A highly recommendable hotelIt is a fairly new hotel, built according to the excellent standards of the Garden Inn chain; it provides all the modern comforts. The hotel is near the embankment of the Tigris river, and some rooms have a nice view to the river. The location is somewhat off the way, but it is pleasant and very quiet. The rooms are large; Furnishing is up to date and the beds are quite comfortable. There is a refrigerator for the convenience of the customers, a safe, coffee making facilities and pressing facilities. Drinking water is provided daily. I stayed in a luxury room, to which I was upgraded by courtesy of the management; it was really big, and the bathroom was also provided with a bathtub. A plus of this hotel is air conditioning, which was operated efficiently and in continuity during my whole stay (a service nowadays curtailed by many hotels with a view to saving money). The TV has a few Western information channels, but not many The service is excellent and cleanliness is perfect. The buffet breakfast is very satisfactory, with prevalence of traditional local fares. There is a business centre in a dedicated room, with two computers and a disabled printer. The staff is welcoming and make their best to help the customers, but communication is not easy, except at the reception, where some staff members speak appropriate English; in particular, I am grateful to Mrs. Pelin Kutluay, who efficiently took charge of assisting me in several issues related to my lack of knowledge of the city and of the Turkish language; she helped me with great amiability and patience, and was very proactive in solving my problems. All in all, this is a good and well managed hotel, which has an appropriate combination of positive factors; I consider that it is very recommendable. The hotel is located in the outskirts of Diyarbakir, but it is not too far from the centre of the city; the city walls are about 600 metres away, and they can be easily reached on foot in 15 minutes (although, in my opnon, this walk is not advisable at night). In May 2018, a taxi ride from/to downtown cost 15 Liras (3 ); a taxi from/to the bus station cost about 35 Liras (7 ). The nearest urban facilities are at the Gazi Avenue.

New Hotel But Mafia Run...I stayed there last Friday night. First of all, the good poiunts: New and lovely building with an amazing view, at least from the room I booked, which was a corner one with river view, however... Now the bad points: Reception was very rude, including management, plus, they DID NOT regognise GOLD status AT ALL... As a result, they allocated (corner room with a view - that's the point of booking one) at the second floor, despite having six floors... When prompted, the manager called Abdul, said that that they were very busy the last 2-3 days and when I said that I booked since December, he again lied that they were having more than 30 GOLD members (!) staying that night, as if all GOLD members of Hilton Honors were having a conference in Diyarbakir of all places that night!!!! Moroever, the manager, Mr Abdul runs a racket of illiocit taxis with no meter for foreign customers when you call one...I got out immidiately from the bogus taxi he called and went back to reception demanding a 'proper' taxi if there was one... A taxi turned up and the driver turned out to be decent, but that was pot luck, given that Mr Abdul does not encourage or call normal and proper taxis to turn up! Moreover, whilst I was awaiting for the taxi, a fight broke out just outside the Hotel, from some young men hanging around in the lobby, smoking outside and in a mini-bus parked outside, like a dolmuz they use in Turkey...the security guard was more interested in protecting Mr Abdul than breaking out the fight or calling the Police... Terrible experience, you are not recognised or honoured as a GOLD member, plus is severly dodgy...a racket from what I made out... AVOID at all costs; I should have stayed at Radisson Blue where I am a Silver member but at least they are not dodgy, at least from what I have gatehered as I had dinner funilly enough before I descented at the Hilton...! I will make sure Hilton know about that and indeed, it is to be avoided, despite the view etc.

Great locationHotel was ok but need some detailed cleaning in bathroom. I stayed at 308 and the corners of the bathroom was black fungi. Other than that it is a nice small hotel which has great view of Dicle/Tigris river.

Poor Location But Great Experience !!!Hotel was clean and comfort to be relaxed. I could not have a chance to stay more than one day but hotel was very luxury and clean. However, the hotel neighborhood was not good enough. Please be sure you are safe when you walking around the hotel. Use shuttle or taxi !
