  No Covid Precautions in Place

  We stayed there one night at the end of July 2020. Hilton's website and the hotel's web page both list precautions they're taking for the pandemic, including requiring face masks in public spaces, by guests and staff. They're not doing that, at all. No one was wearing masks, including staff - not in the lobby, halls, restaurant, etc. No signs are up recommending precautions. We asked staff about it and got a noncommittal, confusing response. There were no signs that they're following any of the precautions Hilton has said the chain is taking. The only exception was one piece of plexiglass at the front desk, but the staff member was having conversations to the side of it, going around the plexiglass to talk closer to customers. Given the current state of things, this was a tense, uncomfortable, disappointing staff. With a well-known national brand like Hilton, you expect to have a similar experience across the chain with practices as important as health and safety during a pandemic. Here's hoping they are following Hilton's cleaning guidelines, at least!.

  Comfy Cozy

  Very good location, everything was clean and organized. Room was very nice and bed was super cozy. Even though we could have had breakfast there, we opted to get on the road early. Staff was very cordial.

  Weekend

  Friendly staff. Covid 19 precautions in place. Sanitizer stations easy to access. Restaurant breakfast and staff were fantastic! Great variety. Easy parking. Nice having a Keurig in the room, we brought our own pods as well.

  Grateful for the hotel

  We arrived in Appleton on Oct. 13 because my father was quite ill and nearing the end of his life. We ended up staying until Oct. 20 when we had the funeral. Spending time with my dad in his final season of life was emotionally draining and painful. The Hilton staff heard why we were staying. Their care was outstanding. At one point, a staff person brought flowers to our room and a card signed by all the staff. That gesture of grace was unexpected and really moved us. The hotel followed COVID protocols closely so we always felt safe. Every morning we had breakfast. The chef was outstanding. Make sure you eat an omelette and ask for a side of ham, it is a substantial piece of meat. We had the funeral on Oct. 20 and the hotel accommodated to our late leaving without question. It is a fine place to stay.

  IF YOU HAVE A LOCAL ADDRESS, YOU AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH TO STAY HERE!

  They don't tell you that, ridiculous rule until you try to check-in. Most of each month, I live in an 18 wheeler, all over the country. I use my brother's address, a short distance from the hotel, for mail and legal purposes. I made reservations, for 4 nights, several days in advance. I rolled into town with just enough time to check-in, shower and get ready for a good friend, who I hadn't seen, in over a year, to come to the hotel to celebrate my 65th birthday. Everything was going ok, till the desk clerk informed me that she would not be allowed to give me a room, which was paid in advance, because I had a local address on my license. I have stayed in many hotels, in the Fox Cities, but never heard of such a ridiculous rule, until now. I ended up having to change my plans, and get a room at a more expensive hotel. Thanks a lot Hilton!
