  Perfect stay at Hillview

  We had a wonderful stay at Hillview on our way from Melbourne to Sydney. The farm is perfectly situated on the Hume but far enough back that noise isn't an issue. The pool was great on a hot day after a long drive and the accommodation was great - everything was new and had everything we might need. Communication with the owners was easy and very accommodating. Thank you!

  Fantastic family get-together.

  We chose Hillview after discovering it on a search for somewhere to have five families meet up before Christmas. Hillview ticked all the boxes... pet friendly, pool, individual accommodation, activities and ease of access. Everyone that stayed at the Lodge was blown away as they were not expecting their own ensuite in each room and large lounge and kitchen. All the other accommodation had it's own ensuite in each room also. If traffic noise bothers you enough to complain then you need to stay in a stuffy expensive boring motel stuck in a town, it's noticeable but not bad and is being worked on...... but then you would be missing out on the chance of relaxing in the pool, interacting with selected animals, fantastic buggy rides, plenty of open space to meander or, just enjoy the view. Each cabin or glamping tent is well fitted out and set up with the verandah facing away from the central area so you can relax with a wine or beer and look out over the working farm and surrounding countyside. Breakfast is included to cook and you have your own bbq or, can arrange to have a home cooked meal. Hosts Rod and Raywin were on hand to help and answer any questions and are a credit to the owners. Everyone loved the buggy rides but be aware that they are normally held in the morning around 8.30 -9.00. Rod was able to fit one in for us in the afternoon, but we had most of the place booked for 2 days and so he wasn't as busy. We could not find brooms though just to make it a tiny bit easier for the cleaning staff before we left sorry, but this might have been a Covid thing. One other little thing, the entrance coming from the north arrives on you quickly at highway speed after the first blue sign, so if you do miss it there is a turnaround just down the highway as per the clear directions provided.

  Best goats ever!

  We went for a week to explore the nearby area (Wagga Wagga, Gundagai) and it was amazing! The farm stay was very pleasant and welcoming. Plenty of activities that kept us busy for the entire trip, and very cute and engaging animals. Our cabin was fortunately right near the goats so they would come right next to us for pets :) Ruth, Rod, Davi and Linda were the most wonderful hosts, helpful, engaging and friendly with plenty to talk about in regards to the farm. Would definitely go again

  Excellent stay

  We had a fantastic stay thank you. Beautiful quality cabins, great pool (fantastic for kids w being quite shallow up one end and kid friendly ledge around the whole inside of the pool), fun animal encounters and awesome and generous breakfast with most of the produce provided from the farm. Would recommend.

  Fantastic stay at Hillview

  We stayed in the loft cottage accommodation which was lovely. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers (16 and 15) and it was very comfortable for us. Loved the location and the activities available. Feeding the animals is a must and the buggy ride is fun too. We had goats running up to us! The managers Rod and Raywan were friendly and looked after us. Great 2 night stay.
