  Was not as depicted

  In an attempt to save money, we decided to give this place a try. We entered to a n unclean space, rotted food in the refrigerator, a large gap under the entry door to let the critters in, a loud, filthy air conditioner in the window, a lumpy bed...you name it. Do not recommend.

  Phyllis is a wonderful host

  We have loved staying with Phyllis at Hillcrest Guest House. We haven't been back since the hurricanes, but it looks like she has actually improved it. The only drawback is that awful hill you have to climb to get up there if you don't have a car.

  Hilltop retreat close to everything!

  We have stayed at the Hillcrest Guest House several times and will stay there again on our next trip. Clean and comfortable and conveniently located. The fridge is always well stocked. There is a lovely courtyard with beautiful plants and flowers.

  its Island life.

  My sister rented, long term, from Phyllis for many years. I had the pleasure of visiting my sister 3 times for incredible week or longer vacations. The accommodations are laid back island style. If you want the true island experience, stay here. if you need perfection stay some place else. This is a place that is taken care of by wonderful woman with a big heart. I stayed about 40 total days over time and I never had a feeling of regret. Actually, I felt gratitude for a humble piece paradise to lay my head. To help you understand the close feel of a family atmosphere, I came out one morning to find the owner (Phyllis), a bit distraught. She had a flat tire. I didn't think twice, I put myself to work and changed her tire. How many places would you stay and have an overwhelming feeling to give service to the property owner?

  Nice and confortable

  Nice island retreat close to town. Was given every thing that was asked for. The owner checked with us randomly throughout our stay to be sure all of our needs had been met. The fridge was stocked and fresh fruit on the counter.
