Old fashioned in a nice wayThis B&B is run by an amiable, mature couple. Upon arrival the prorpietress was feeding the cows the clippings from lawn cuttings. The couple were very welcoming and friendly. Our room overlooked the views of countryside and hills. The room is compact, but has all you need. The shower and toilet are in a small room, also, but everything worked well. The bed was very comfortable. I saw Bridie ironing the sheets and remarked to her that I don't do that at home for myself. Breakfast was just fine and everything was cooked as we asked. All in all, this was a nice night in the country with amiable owners.

Farm stay at the Hill Farm B & B [Convenient location to get to Cong].We enjoyed our stay and the proprietress, Bridie was such a love. Our room served it's purpose for the night for all three of us; my husband, daughter and myself: clean, comfy and a bathroom. What else could you want? Bridie served a lovely breakfast in the breakfast room and we had a choice of what was on the menu. One night was not enough. We enjoyed watching the sheep jump the fence from the other farm next door!! Thanks Bridie for all your help!!! You are such a sweetie!!

just excelentStayed here when our pre booked accommodation let us down. Hosts Bridie and Pat could not have done more for us. Place spotless, Breakfast great and you would never tire of views. Just 20 min walk to Cong center (30 min if leisure and take in the sights, wildlife, canal etc)

Home from HomeMy wife and I stayed at this excellent B & B for our annual holidays for two nights as we have done for many years. Bridie and her husband Pat always make us very welcome and ensure that our stay is most enjoyable. The bungalow is situated about one mile from the charming village of Cong, famous for 'The Quiet Man' and Ashford Castle. It is a very pleasant walk into the village where there are beautiful walks around the narrow streets with lots to see. The bungalow is spotlessly clean and has all amenities which you could want. A comfortable lounge with TV which affords a great view of the Mayo mountains across fields and ancient buildings. Bridie serves supper here each evening and this gives you the opportunity to meet other guests if you so desire. The breakfasts are prepared by Bridie and Pat who always endeavour to satisfy your individual preferences. The Irish fry is a delight! The bedrooms vary in size depending on your requirements and numbers staying but all have en-suites with shower and usual toilet facilities. Bridie and Pat have an excellent knowledge of the local area and can suggest worthwhile sightseeing tours if you so desire. We would have no hesitation in strongly recommending this excellent family house for your holiday.

a beautiful homeImpressive accommodation. We had a beautiful large room with a huge picture window looking out on the the hills along the river. This farm is a ways from town but we did walk it one clear afternoon and spent a pleasant day roaming the small village and the surrounds. It was a beautiful starlit night on the way home It was a gamble though because the weather changed several times while we were here and although we were prepared it would not have been a pleasant retreat home had it been more inclement. Bridie and Pat were excellent hosts and the breakfasts were delicious and filling.
