  Las dueñas encantadoras

  El hotel está anticuado, muy bien ubicado y necesita reforma. Nos dieron una buena habitación, bastante amplia y con mucho ventanal. La decoración no es mi estilo, pero está limpio y cuidado. Las dueñas, varias hermanas (creo) merecen un comentario aparte, muy entregadas en su trabajo, encantadoras, con ganas de agradar y ayudar. La comida excelente en un comedor también con carácter y ambiente anticuado pero agradable... A destacar una sopa de tomate riquísima, nos encantó... la pena que no pedí la receta.

  Comfortable hotel and good value for money

  We had an unexpected stay due to bad weather washing out camping. Staff very friendly and welcoming, clean and comfortable room. Nice supper and a decent breakfast with the staff able to make it as good an experience as possible despite Covid restrictions.

  Great hotel!!!

  We have just had a lovely 2 night stay. Staff were lovely. Room was gorgeous. Food was top notch! Parking was readily available right at the front of hotel. Brilliant all round!!! Will most definitely be back!!

  Birthday visit

  The day before our visit the First Minister had just announced that on the day of my husband's birthday the pubs were no longer able to service alcohol indoors. We were disappointed as had hoped to have a nice celebration. We shifted the celebration meal a day forward and had a lovely meal, with wine and a couple of malt whiskies to finish. The staff were very gracious and friendly, wishing my hubbie "Happy Birthday", as did other guests as everyone seemed to have got wind of the birthday boy. It was lovely! The following day we went out walking and then did a clay pigeon shooting session. This evening's meal was a much more sober affair, however the hotel had left a bottle of wine in our room along with a birthday card, which was a really kind gesture. Hotels have been having a really hard time through lockdown and subsequently and it isn't made easier by these new regulations. But here feels very special and there's a kindness and intimacy that is very touching. Thanks so much for a lovely stay. We'll be back.

  Tired hotel with a budget feel

  This hotel needs a refresh. Check in was not the most welcoming with staff not overly friendly. Room was basic, dated and very small as was the bathroom. Bed was very old and not particularly comfortable. Evening meal and breakfast were average, nothing special. Overall a disappointing experience but I was limited in choice at the time of booking so went to this hotel with low expectations and was not disappointed!
