  Comfortable accommodation in great cycling country

  My friends and I spent a couple of nights here recently. It is a very quiet,rural location . Great cycling in the worlds and lovely villages and coastline nearby. Relatively new with limited rooms and good facilities,including excellent WiFi. You can eat dinner if there are 8 or more of you otherwise only breakfast is available.This is ok but not startling, for a cookery school. All public areas and rooms are modern,well furnished and clean, staff are friendly and there is a safe bike store. There is a large communal lounge which has a tv and guidebooks. I liked the place. Cost is about £50 per night per person inc breakfast.

  Excellent

  What a fabulous place our room was perfect and very clean. There was also a very nice lounge to use in the evenings and we were able to come and go as we pleased,and the breakfast was cooked to perfection, it was also a cookery school so coming back after our days out to some lovely aromas of the days cooking, the whole house was spotlessly clean throughout, and everyone we met was friendly. There are some very nice walks, and a very nice 18 hole golf course just a short drive away, I can't recommend this place enough, hope to return another time very soon.

  Group stay

  2 nights back at Highfield, lovely welcome as always, really friendly staff. Rooms are good, overbath shower. Lounge area a good size, dining area has been extended. Breakfast is a good choice of cold and hot food, cooked to order. Plenty of tea & coffee. As this was a group, we pre-ordered our evening meals which were good, plenty of choice.

  Cycling in the Yorkshire Wolds

  We were a small group of cyclists, keen to explore the area. We booked in for 3 nights, we were able to self cater for 2 nights and on the 3rd night we enjoyed an excellent 2-course dinner provided by the Highfield staff. The accommodation was first class, the bedrooms were clean, comfortable and well appointed, the sitting room was spacious and provided a great place to relax, the dinning room was light and airy. From the moment we arrived the staff provided an excellent service and made us feel very welcome, this continued throughout our visit.

  clean pleasant room with spacious bathroom with tea and coffee facilities quiet location excellent meals warm welcome very organised with emails pre arrival plenty of parking also run a cookery school
