  Ground floor standard 2br apartment

  We recently spent 13 nights at the Hibiscus in apartment G2...two adults and our 10yr old son. The apartment was just standard....dated especially in kitchen and bathroom. So if you want upmarket and sea views this not for you. However, we enjoyed the retro feel, and since I refused to do any cooking on holiday I wasnt too bothered by the older kitchen. It has a lovely large, private courtyard and the real bonus is the gate access to the swimming pool and beach. This really made the apartment special...no walking through reception, getting lift with all your gear, wet and sandy etc. just come and go with no towels as you want! Our son loved going in and out to pool with no keys needed. The management were friendly and fixed any problems we had eg bulbs not working, loose railing in pool. Handy location to 705 bus route, cafe and 7/11 across the road. So whilst not top notch decor a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

  Great and fantastic place

  One of the best places I have seen. Excellent room just what we needed. Swimming pool was clean and just big enough for us. Nice walking distance ocean nearby. Will save this place for the next time. Thanks!!

  Great location but apartment tired and small

  Firstly the positives is the location is fantastic, right on the beach, uninterrupted views, 5 minutes walk to the surf club and Tedder Ave, and the price is very reasonable. The amenities include secure parking, a decent size pool and heated spa, bbq and rotunda area on the beach front. The landscaped garden is picturesque and provides a relaxing green space also right upon the beach. The negatives are the small un-renovated 2 bedroom apartment, 1 bathroom, 1 toilet (within the bathroom), and relentless construction noise. The furnishings are of meagre quality and only 1 x 2 seater lounge for a family was most insufficient. The single bathroom was literally falling apart and the most detracting feature. The ongoing construction noise from the tower being built next door was virtually inescapable unless you shut all the windows. Had we known excavators and concrete pumps would be operating within metres of the pool we would have looked elsewhere. Listen, a beach holiday is best spent outdoors so in that sense it's perfect, but the construction which will end at some stage is a big spoiler.

  AMAZING APARTMENTS AND LOCATION!

  Could not have been more impressed with the facilities, the staff and the view! Fabulous apartment, easy walking distance to Tedder Avenue. Quiet location, clean apartment and lovely grounds and pool area. Highly recommend

  Fantastic Location

  This apartment building is in a fantastic spot, with views that are second to none. Direct access to the beach, shop across the road and satisfactory accommodation. The units are small and our bathroom had no ventilation, so unfortunately mould was therefore an issue. But we loved staying here. The downside of this apartment building is the response you may get from the manager if you let them know of a problem. I advised them of out of date milk in the apartment, an issue with parking and the mould in the bathroom. What I received in return was an irate, rude and patronising response which was very upsetting. Sadly, this manager is not interested in customer service or satisfaction and relies entirely on the location of the property rather than providing any support or service for the holiday makers. I highly recommend this apartment building - it really is in a great spot. Just keep to yourself and don't bother letting the staff know of any issues. They don't want to know.
