    Comfortable stay

We stayed at heybear for 6 days, i would definately say it was worth the money. The toilet was clean and everything was good. The thing i like the most was it was just a street away from MRT Station. The reason I am giving 4 star is because I booked a private room through snaptravel but on arrival we got 2 separate capsules. It was really disappointing.

Great inexpensive sleeping for large families/groups!

So cute! My teenage son couldn't have been happier. This was the happiest I have seen him on any trip. He commented on how we should have stayed here during our whole time in Taiwan! Each capsule has its own TV and a programmable safe for personal items. The capsules can be locked and unlocked with capsule key card. One is provided pillow and blanket. Please, note, it is like "glamping." If one can sleep on a hard surface with only a pad, then one is good to go. For those who need a soft mattress, one's joints may complain a bit (especially side sleepers). Also, note that one cannot eat in the room and one cannot put any toilet tissue into toilets, so beware! Otherwise, the bathrooms provide non-squat toilets with toilet tissue (to be placed in trash cans) and nice showers with shower gel and shampoo dispensers in the shower stalls. Lastly, at first I was concerned that I being 6'1" would not fit, but I could stretch out and still had an inch or two to spare. So my height was not a problem.

    Unfriendly receptionist

I went to Hey bear with friends last week and when I came up to the reception lobby, the staff is so rude and unwelcoming. She didnt even smile at me. I waited for my friend who already checked in to fetch me to teach me what to do, because the receptionist refused to talk to me. I hope you hire the right person for the job. As far as I know, receptionists should be welcoming, pleasant and friendly to all the guests. When I saw your organizational chart, the closest picture to what I saw in person was Jou.

    Space Pods

Cool to experience a space pod. Well, sort of... The lighting, the blue light, mirror and overall feel of the capsule makes you feel you are in a space pod. Accommodation is pretty cheap and they reply to queries immediately. Location of the capsule hotel is a 2minute walk from the subway station. It has signage and elevator to the building (i think they have the 8th flr). We have to book 2 days since our flight was early morning. The place is clean and quiet. Like really quiet. The staff are not really friendly, they will answer your concerns and that is it. You be careful not to make any noise. Upon getting off the elevator is the lobby, reception and common area. Here you can eat your food, there are coffee and snacks to be bought or just bring your own food in. You need your card key to get inside the dorm rooms. The locker room area where you can fit mostly hand carry luggages and bags. Bath area has shower, wash area and toilet (Important note: there is no bidet and Toilet paper in the toilet). Toilet are both the squat type and the one with a bowl. Showers are basic, you need to bring your own stuff. They do however have an area where you can fix yourself with mirrors and hair dryer. The sleeping rooms are cold and dark. On your pod you can adjust the vent (not the temp since it is centralized), it has socket for usb charging and plugs, mirror, one pillow and futon, a tv with remote, reading light. It has a safety deposit box tho i was not able to use mine. Then pods have secured doors that locks. The lower berth can hear the upper berth when moving. Also, they have a plastic basket that you use to bring your toiletries. Most of the stuff, you provide on your own. Slippers, towels, toiletries. Don't put the card key close to your phone as it can erase the details. If that happens, just ask help at the reception. Make sure to checkout exactly 12 as they strict with it. This is what turned me off with it, anyway we were done and just fixing our luggage in the locker room area when the staff went inside to inform us it was time.

    Not Social, Antisocial.

This capsule hotel is antisocial. This is not a backpacker place. Staff are not friendly, and they place no investment into the guest experience. Avoid this place if you want a social backpacker hostel. That said, facilities are sometimes clean. Towels are not free, but showers had shampoo and body wash dispensers. Security is poor. Only certain rooms have lockable lockers. All capsules can easily be forced open. There are no tables or chairs in rooms. There is no place to hang a bath towel. Windows looking outside are filthy. Elevators are slow. The common area is OK, but more like a shared workspace rather than a communal place. Location is more genuine than touristy. The MRT is just across the road. There are many places to dine nearby, and the daily night market is average in both diversity and ambiance. Overall, it's a crappy experience to stay here. Find somewhere friendlier, somewhere better.
