  Great location that's all

  Great location to start nice walks beautiful surroundings. The hotel however has no good food and terrible beds. The location also suited to start nice bicycle tours, keep in mind that the roads can be though going up and down.

  Nice hotel, very friendly staff

  In all areas of the hotel there was super friendly staff, so friendly and happy at work! The room was clean and comfortable and nice to have a terrace. The sauna was truly excellent, we wished we had more time to stay there!! And we had a good breakfast, plenty of choice. The lesser points: The room smelled a bit old, I think it used to be a smoking room. We thought it was strange to charge extra for wifi on more than 1 device. And we went elsewhere for dinner because the prices were un-Germanly high. Overall we definitely recommend this place.

  Needs a serious update and reorganization. NOT dog friendly

  This place looks nice from the outside but is horrible on the inside. Old and smelly rooms. Terrible beds. Needs a serious update! We were on a Family holiday and brought our dog, as requested. We paid for it and it was no problem BUT he could only stay in the room. He wasn't allowed in the restaurant or any where else. Therefor we had to eat in the basement/ cafe we there was no service and had to go upstairs for our food. Dinner was also bad. We had to order the entire menu at our arrival and had to be in the basement at 18u30 ( 19u wasn't possible because it was crowded ( 4 tables of 2 persons ) . Not a issue...but we arrived in time and they served our food at 20u00. I'm so sorry to say it was a disaster and the food wasn't good. So no, not pet friendly, no on comfort , no on everything.

  Little outdated, wifi useless

  We visited this hotel while skiing in Winterberg. The hotel is a little outdated and has a wierd decor. Staff was friendly everywhere, bar and restaurant was okay - so was breakfast buffet. But - wifi was useless - we tried complaining several times, without any luck - and we even had a router just outside the room. Anyway, besides feeling like visiting your grandparents, it was okay overall. We did not use the spa area - so no comments about that.

  Our yearly stay over during New Years eve

  The location of the hotel is in the country site and we stay in a comfort room with a good bed. The bathroom has a shower, but for safety reason a walk-in shower is recommendable. The hotel is not for handicap persons to many staircases. The restaurant has a nice part with decoration and table setting.The serving personnel is very friendly and quick. The meals are good and wel presented. The breakfast is for every bodies choice. Because of Silvesterarrangement we expect an evening with some entertainment by life music or some other background music. The evening after a nice 5 course dinner is without any atmosphere and it is counting down to 12 oclock with finally some nice fireworks.
