  GRAN ESTAFA

  De lo más vergonzoso que me he podido encontrar! Para empezar,las fotos deben haber sido tomadas en la inauguración,por que la cara de tontos que se nos quedó al entrar fue de espanto.Por no hablar del gran jardín que te muestran y como si estuviera en medio del monte! nada que ver con la realidad! al ladito de la carretera que se escucha todo,al igual que los vecinos. Lo mejor es la ducha;esto de "ducha de lluvia" nada de nada. Mejor que pongan "ducha con karcher" con leves moderaciones de temperatura ( a lo mejor te sale fria que caliente...no lo sabes; sorpresa! ) Luego está muy bien también lo de " servicio personalizado para hacer excursiones o cualquier información que se necesite ". Si,esto también debía ser cuando empezaron con más ganes, por que el dueño más vago no podía ser. 0 interés en facilitar nada, faena por encontrarlo en recepción,porque a lo mejor te lo encontrabas dando un paseo en moto por el paseo...Un desastre de tio! Tema, servicio de desayunos? si estaba dando vueltas,como te lo va a hacer? a demás, no lo recomiendo porque estábamos al lado de su apartamento y tenían la "cocina" en el balcón...más vale no contar como la tenían. Limpieza? otra 0. lleno de telarañas que lo teniamos con el cubo de fregar en el apartamento...de risa,vamos! Wifi completo? si, si te vas en una zona común dónde te encuentras con todos los demás, si! antes te llega el wifi de los apartamentos del lado, que el de allí! En resumen,fue muy divertido encontrarnos esto...pero de recomendable 0! cómo ya han dicho, es más un Hostel que un apartamento con los precios que ponen. Vergonzoso!

  "Lovely location"

  Just back from a lovely holiday staying here. George and his family work very hard to make this a very welcoming place. The apartments are very comfortable with views towards the sea and mountain views behind. Very clean and well kept.Comfortable bed. Good bedding, sheets and towels. Soap, washing up liquid etc supplied. Nice balcony with good furniture, Basic kitchen equipment...just enough for self catering.Short walk to sea, beach, supermarkets and tavernas. George is really helpful if you need to know anything about the area, walking, car hire etc.This is a beautiful quiet part of Zakynthos for a chilled out peaceful holiday. Village atmosphere with friendly people. No loud clubs!! Want to go back.

  Review

  Still on holiday at these little apartments. George the owner is a friendly dude and willing to help you whenever possible with whatever query you may have. Nice little village but little to none existent nightlife at end of season( late september) if you hate wasps then don't come at all, the little t###s are everywhere. If you love cats, which we do then you're in for a treat and we have fed the entire village by now. We hired a moped for 17 euros per day and nearly killed ourselves, the rds are not great and best hire a car, much safer. Best trip by far was with ' Captains' a local boat excursion around the various and nearby Islands, only 15 each for a 3 hr trip. Take a mask or swimming goggles as the water is stunning and clear. Enjoy.

  1 Week in September

  Chose this accommodation after all the reviews of the place and it does not disappoint. We went with love holidays and it was very simple to book and everything went well. The airport was very quick in Zante, we had self-booked a hire car but because we didn't have a credit card they wouldn't give it to us - so cancelled that and paid a Taxi only 28 Euros to take us to Limni. The apartments are very basic, we didn't have pans or a tea-towel etc but just ask Georgios and it was no problem. Our towels were changed daily and the bedding a couple of times. The apartment could do with some TLC and the balconies didn't offer the privacy I would prefer but we got on well with the neighbours so was ok in the end. The only thing we didn't really like was the mattress, this was too hard for us, although other guests said they preferred that. The AirCon is free fantastic and will only work when the patio doors are closed. The beach is lovely, some areas sandy others had some rocks and if you follow the cove around you can find some private areas off the rocks which were great for snorkelling. Take care to wear sandals as we saw a number of sea urchins around the submerged rocks. We hired a boat and went to turtle island and up the coast; this was great cost 80 Euros for 4 hours and we booked through Georgios (his cousin). The Try Dive Scuba cost 50 Euros and was amazing, is available most afternoons for a 35 minute dive (that is enough if you have never tried it before) and takes most of the afternoon with boat travel etc added on). We would defiantly love to return to this resort in the future but would probably look for alternate accommodation with softer beds.

  Lovely stay

  We had a lovely week at Herodotos. Nothing to fault at all comes to mind! George was very friendly, being very accommodating whilst respecting privacy. Unfortunately there came to be a chance of us having to take our Mum to the nearby hospital/pharmacy and when asking for details, they offered to drive us, saying to just come ask at any point - luckily we didn't have to in the end however! The apartment was simple but all we needed and always very quiet day and night. Don't feel it would be feasible to cook very easily, but we had a couple of lovely mezze type meals with bread/salad/olives etc and were very happy to eat out most nights considering the many tavernas. What could have been a slight negative was that the balcony's were very close together, but fortunately as the studios weren't that full at the time we went this was never an issue for us. Also perfect waking distance from the beach and the village itself had everything we needed, whilst still being very quaint with all the greek charm we hoped for. Beach a little busy, but very pretty and we always found a spot! Was great to easily rent a car for a couple of days as well and book onto one of the boat trips to explore a bit further. We were all very happy with both the accommodation and location in general - would definitely go again. Mum had already booked to go again this month, although things are understandably up in the air for now considering the coronavirus circumstances, as they wait to hear about the flights!
