  Excellent located hotel ideal for our visit.

  We were attending a punk festival across in the Victoria Bikers Pub so this hotel was the perfect location for our weekend stay. We were greeted by a friendly reception lady. Clean comfortable rooms and a good breakfast.

  Very pleasant overnight stay, would come again

  The look and feel was "corporate-plus". Easy check-in with payment on arrival. Some issue with the electronic door-key at the outset, and the technology at Reception was a little wanting, (though this gave no further problems). Good parking near the door, a spotlessly clean room with a rather tired bathroom, very comfortable bed and all the usual coffee and tea facilities. Very good buffet style breakfast with pleasant waitress attendance and all you would expect to eat.. The thick-cut bacon was delicious, I went for a large plate of that with the chopped mushrooms and grilled tomatoes. The toast and coffee were freshly made and brought to your table. An 11 am checkout on a Sunday was ideal, a pleasant stay with no issues.

  Trip to Coalville

  Visiting friends and family in the area, The Hermitage was an excellent place to stay. This privately run hotel is so convenient, clean ,friendly and all we needed. Our double room was really comfortable and clean, with comfy bed and a couple of chairs too. All the facilities we needed, including hair drier and iron had I been of need. The bathroom was a little small, and a bit tired, but nonetheless it was very clean, had fresh fluffy towels and toiletries, replaced daily. Room servicing lady was lively and asked if we had what we needed and looked after the housekeeping. Breakfast was plentiful and a good choice of cereals, yoghurt, juices, fruit and then as much cooked brekky as you wanted. There was a private function on Saturday night and the disco went on til about 11.30pm and we could hear it in our rooms, but we made allowancesfor that. All in all we had a lovely stay, very easy to organise and pay for and will definitely return when we visit our friends and family. Many thanks to the team. Staff very friendly,

  Good Location but tired inside

  Upon entering the room it looked clean & tidy, but once in there was foliage on the table so it had not been cleaned properly. There was coffee spills on the wall & the mirrors had marks on them so too had not been wiped down. A bit more attention needed in this area given the current situation. The room is tired & dated and could do with a bit of a spruce up. The bed was comfy & so were the pillows. Due to Covid, the breakfast was left outside the room in a lunch box, it had a variety of items inside, yoghurt, croissant, jam, butter, plums, a cereal bar. Surprisingly they are unable to serve breakfast in the dining room but are able to serve Sunday Lunch. The bar area & reception was pleasant & we enjoyed a drink here, the staff were friendly too.

  I have just checked into the 70s

  Basic and tired are a couple of words I could use for this place. Door just about on, no kettle, no hotel info in the room so why not come along and play guess the WiFi code, guess where things are. Paper stuffed into key hole to stop next door watching me sleep (creepy) Staff are polite and reasonably professional and are sticking to the Covid rules. None of the issues I have can be blamed on Covid but like many others they might try. I think the money paid has gone in the wrong direction, I should have been paid to stay here. I have to endure another night here too, if anyone reads this please send help!
