  Excellent location, fantastic staff

  After having read all of the mixed reviews about the hotel, I think it is only fair to offer a balanced review of our week's there for a skiing holiday last week. If you want a 5 star experience, don't book a 2 star hotel. The hotel is in a great location - at the bottom of the Clotes lift that is accessed by a moving carpet. From front door of hotel to the lift is less than 5 minutes - 3 of which you are standing on a moving carpet. The hotel is great. The staff are very friendly and do speak enough english to understand - why some people think staff should be fluent in English beats me. I did not have a problem in finding staff, they were always very helpful. Even to the point where one of our party had hurt his back and they delivered his evening meal to his room - that is outstanding service! The rooms are small, as are the majority of rooms in skiing hotels. The bathroom could do with a bit of a re design to avoid the side saddle approach to using the toilet, however it was always cleaned. The shower was hot and powerful (for some reason we did not have hot water in the morning due to a boiler problem). The only downside to our room is that the radiator leaked, on the first night I had a shoe full of water! That wasn't the best. Food was average. Some nights it was really good, others pretty average. Breakfast was the usual continental breakfast so can't really complain and you will get the same everywhere. Point to mention though is that there is plentiful free cake,coffee, tea at 4-5pm every afternoon. Hotel location was perfect, right near the ski lift but also near a few bars and a great Grillhouse (Village). If you have the inclination you can walk to the Sportina chairlift in about 10 minutes uphill, but there is a bus that charges 2 euro - the only ski resort I know that charges for ski bus to lifts All in all, the hotel is good. Slightly lets itself down on the food quality on occasion and leaking radiator. However this is more than made up by the quality staff, location, and plentiful food that is available. If you want somewhere that is not typically italian and serves a full English every day - stay elsewhere. If you want somewhere that has friendly hospitality and an excellent location (and free cake!) stay here!

  Good allrounder!

  Nice hotel and friendly staff. We stayed at the end of the season but the hotel kept up its standards and fed us very well!!! Lots of food, not gourmet, but good basic food and plenty of it. Beds very not the most comfy but it was clean and everything worked. You pay for what you get and this was good value for money. Would go back.

  Perfect location

  Perfect location - ski out, ski in and very close to the village center. Nice breakfast: bread, eggs, cereals, etc, etc. Italian dinner every evening: 4 dishes including individual choices. Plenty of tasty food. Basic rooms. Very good service from the hotel staff. All in all we had a very nice stay at this hotel which exceeds its 2-3 star rating.

  Perfect and relaxing holiday!

  we stayed a week in this hotel in January for our skiing holiday, the hotel is right in front of the slopes that can be easily reached and has a ski room. we were assigned a room with a nice view of the slopes, quite spacious and perfectly clean every morning. excellent breakfast and a hearty dinner and fantastic service of the three girls in the room always available to please us and very kind.

  A pleasant surprise

  It is the first time that we stay in this hotel. Well what to say was a discovery .. the girls are beautiful, professional and very kind .. we will definitely be back .. Perfect for a holiday with friends. Thanks for your patience !
