As sweat as it getsThis is a rural hotel - we wanted a rustic stop between Lisbon and Seville where we could rest and recharge mid trip. We couldn't have found a better place. There are just 4 rooms, a restaurant, and a pool. Plus a stunning view of a castle and a barn. It was an amazing little place. My wife, our 2 year old, and I loved it. If you have dinner there (recommended) get the tomato soup - we loved it so much we're trying to make it back home. Enjoy this hotel - it's truly special.

An absolute delight-wonderful Portuguese hospitalityMy wife and I stated here for 3 nights with a group that was on a guided walk trip. The rooms were generous, comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast was generous and the dinners cooked by the owner Rui's mom were superb. Rui operates an organic farm so the food is very fresh and healthy. His mom is an absolute delight as is Rui. He has a great personality and very helpful and friendly. The location is great for tourists but a car is a must have to get around.

Very relaxing stay in the Portuguese countryside...amazing viewsMy husband and I stayed at Herdade Dos Barros with a group of 8 who were hiking in the Alenjento countryside. We arrived late in the day hot and tired, and we were welcomed with open arms ( literally ), shown to our comfortable large rooms, and pointed in the direction of the swimming pool....what a treat THAT WAS. The pool is huge...there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas and when the temperatures soar, that pool is a lifesaver. The hotel itself is rural and relaxing and the owner (Rui) simply could not be more accommodating. He and his mother run the restaurant and the food is exceptional....authentic Portuguese style and very plentiful. We just couldn't get over the quality or the huge portions. If you really want a break from life's hectic pace, this is the place to go...you will be awakened by roosters and stunning views and will find yourself in a quiet little spot with no stress. Be aware though that the WiFI connection is sporadic and there will be times you have no connectivity....go for a walk instead! 5 stars!

Really good rural B&BWe stayed here for 3 nights whilst on a Portugal Walks tour. We found it very comfortable- good rooms, beautiful environment and great views over the countryside including nearby Terena. It is very well located to visit a number of interesting sites nearby as well as offering great walking routes, fishing & kayaking. The restaurant serves breakfast & excellent local dinners as well as making up lunch bags for walking. We could also get coffee, tea and snacks at the bar. The best is the host, Rui who was very accommodating.

Views and hospitality of this casa de campo are outstanding, value decreases with higher ratesNice CC (casa de campo like agriturismo in Italy) with views, pool and AC well managed and maintained. Simple breakfast as expected, dinner restaurant available but not offered (?). I think that rates in 2018 up to 70 and more are on the limit for this simple place and it's remote location.
