STAY AWAY FROM THIS DIVEThis is possibly the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune of staying in. So run down and neglected compared to how it used to be. Needs painted from top to bottom. Doors hanging off and old uncomfortable beds. Oh and its freezing (you can see your own breath at night) as theres no heating throughout. When asked if the heating could be put on we were told well see if we can fire up the boiler. The boiler was never fired up. The bar was empty when we arrived and It wasnt replenished through the remainder of our stay. Vending machines are the only way to get food/refreshments after 9:30 but they dont work most of the time. Staff could be seen around but looked as if they just didnt want to be there and spent more time out side smoking than anything else. Basically what Im trying to say is stay away from this place. Although I cant see it being around that long to have anyone suffer the same horrible experience we had.

It is what it isThe position of the canvases we didnt like so we swapped them around. Also there were no flowers so we left some pampus grass in a mug which was a great touch. My room mate had to use a bottle of lemonade as a pillow as they only left 2 pillows for me and none for him so a couple of extra next time would be great. Also, the 3 lamps we had in our room had no bulbs but we decided that the vase looked much better with the lampshade anyway so this wasnt a problem. The smell of breakfast cooking was really offensive when we walked downstairs with a cracking hangover. The bed was comfortable, although we only used it for one day and a night because blackpool never sleeps and the room was suitable for what we needed however I had to pay a £10 deposit for the universal remote control so I couldn't steal it which is definitely one of the only reasons I hire hotel rooms for, so this was a shame. All in all - no complaints about the hotel or room. You get what you pay for! The toilet roll was suitable for mummyfying and playing toilet roll volley ball across the room. The local chicken delivery men were friendly but wouldn't give my room mate a job. Staff were friendly and helpful - although one of them lied and said our room key would also open the front door but it didnt so when we came back after midnight, highly intoxicated, we couldn't get in and my roommate nearly had a heart attack. Fortunately we rang the doorbell and got let in and got given a key that worked. We would return to room 37. Sick room, friendly staff and an alright hotel for the weekend

1 night, never againRead good reviews and pictures, when got there i was shocked should of gone down the road to the blvd or big blue hotel but stayed in the Henson, lumpy bed uneven floor, sheets did not match two beds pulled together as one, very cold room heating didn't work even the shower was over flowing, inch gap in the top of the door so you could hear people and they could hear you, overall don't waste your money going there spend that little more for a decent hotel

NightmareMyself and my wife went for a mid week break. We got to the Henson hotel 30 mins before check in and where told we ould not go in because the room was being prepared. When we got in it was dirty and unfit for use. The wall hanger was hanging off, the sinks plunger was seized so water could not be emptied from the sink, there was a hole in the wall were someone had punched it, the wall paper was ripped, there were hairs on the plug sockets, you could hear everything from the rooms beside and above and to top it off the radiator was dirty and I ended up rebuilding the slats on the bed at 22.30pm. I complained the next morning and was offered another room and free drinks but no refund for the one night we did not stay.

Nice stayWe arrived at the hotel before check in time which was no issue for the staff. The first room was nice, however we had a issue with the shower & on speaking to the manager we were transferred to another room (which was an upgrade) with no extra cost. We would definitely recommend this hotel & we are already looking forward to going again next year.
