  Very good location but missing some key things!

  Bockelmann lies at a very good distance from A7 in a quiet neighborhood in the small village Bispingen. The most positive aspect about the hotel is indeed the location, as well as its breakfast buffet, which was good. Major downside is its promised free WiFi access in all rooms, which proves to be only if you are close enough to the router. Our room was not and hotel staff suggested using the internet terminal right by the front desk, which was not what was expected. If you have a hard time with light, bring an eyemask as there are no light blockers, apart from very light shades in the room. Beds however were good. As a hotel to spend a night in when driving down on the A7, Bockelmann works very well but I would not spend a longer stay there if I didn't have to.

  more than expected

  We were made very welcome on arrival by Sandra and Peter and shown to a lovely fresh room. The room was well appointed with tea/coffee TV radio and all the necessities in the bathroom. Location is near the town which has a few restaurants and shops. We ate in the hotel on all three nights as the quality of the food was excellent from a varied menu. The wild boar was delicious. One evening we were not that hungry so a platter with local meats and cheeses was arranged. It is within easy reach of the lovely towns of Luneberg and Celle. The bar area is cosy, the local frequenters made us very welcome. Breakfast was excellent if you go away hungry its your own fault. Pricewise this hotel is excellent value for money and not to be missed.

  Excellent place but forget about wifi in the room

  It is a very nice hotel. The breakfast is simply excellent. The location is super. The sofa for our two boys was a bit hard but it worked out. But forget about wifi in the room - it is simply not there.

  Darling little hotel in a quaint town

  LOVED this hotel so much that we stayed both on our road trip down to Italy and back. Its location is in a rural part of a quaint little town and there are fields with horses, deer and cows just behind the hotel. Great location if you have a dog and they are very dog-friendly. Rooms are very comfortable with lovely plush decorative (NOT white!) towels and comfortable beds. Pull out bed is not adequate for an adult, but would work for a small child. Rooms can be hot, but windows open and it is very quiet. Easy walking distance to the adorable city with several cute restaurants and ice cream shops. Breakfast is phenomenal with your name waiting for you on the table! Highly recommend! Very little English spoken, however!

  Clean, quiet, excellent food and service

  Nice quiet location with walking distance from the idyllic Bispingen town centre. Excellent service and above all, a spacious and clean bathroom. The delicious 3 course dinner was both value for money and beautifully presented.
