Unique, but needs updatingThis was a strange night. The hotel had the feel of a European Inn...but one that was dated and configured oddly. Location was wonderful, but beds were neither queen-sized or in any way comfortable. Now I know how Fred & Wilma felt after sleeping on a bed of granite! None of our family slept at all. Wi-Fi was spotty and parking garage was tiny! Next night we stayed at newer, much comfier hotel nearby with actual hot tubs and updated rooms for less money!!

Very disappointed!I booked a week through my time share at this resort for my son and his wife for their anniversary. I also booked the day before the timeshare week directly through the Inn. When they arrived on the Thursday evening the Inn was closed and they weren't able to contact anyone there. They didn't know what was going on so they went to Kamloops and booked into another hotel for the 3 days they would be there. I called the Inn and they said there was a misunderstanding and they had booked a day in November instead. They refunded the one night stay. My son and his wife refused to stay there for the remaining days because they didn't have a clue what was going on and had already rebooked at another hotel. I spoke with our timeshare company and they were unable to refund the fees I had paid (It wasn't their fault and I completely understand). I phoned back to the Inn and asked if they were able to compensate me for the amount I paid to the timeshare company. The lady I spoke to said she would have to ask the manager and then get back to me that day (last Friday). I still have not received a call back after leaving another message yesterday. Extremely poor customer service!

Great European Alpine Accommodation, really central locationThis property reminds me of my holidays at European ski resorts (chalet style), evidently accentuated by the German hotel manager/owner. I found him polite and pleasant, meeting the standards I have experienced in Europe. The property itself is a little aged, but everything worked and the WiFi signal was strong in my room. The beds were comfortable and daily housekeeping left everything nice and clean. We stayed during the Snowbombing Festival, so feared we would be kept up by loud people walking outside and music, but our room faced away from the main pedestrian road and we were not disturbed at all during our week-long stay. This is a great ski in/out resort, just across the street from the local supermarket. I would stay here again.

Pleasant surprise after all the reviews in tripadvisorI booked a week through my time share and Interval International. After reading the reviews here, my wife and I were really concerned about the quality of the hotel and attitude of the owners. We decided to bring everything with us, from bed sheets & pillows to electric heaters all the way from Calgary. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. First, the owner upgraded our studio reservation to a large room with full kitchen. Then he helped us getting our car in the garage and our stuff into the room. True, everything in the room was rather old BUT everything was clean, nothing was broken and everything worked just fine. Even the wi-fi that so many complain was available so my wife and I were able to work at night. Like most hotels in Sun Peaks the location is unbelievable. It was our first time in Sun Peaks and we were astonished that this location is not a lot more popular. In regards to this particular hotel, I am sure there are more fancy ones in the village but this one does the job, even though it will benefit from some upgrades. We are going back this February 1st for another week and we hope to have a great time us we did last year.

Poor Management AttitudeWe stayed for one week. Upon check in, we were told that parking was $16/day. Their website did say that they had parking, but neglected to mention that you had to pay for it. We would've paid for it, but we were caught off guard. A little bit of upfront notice would've made a world of difference. Please be upfront with your services. The owner, Manfred seems like a nice enough man, but his wife was quite rude. We didn't have any wash cloths in our hotel room the first day. Manfred apologized and gave us a stack. The second day housekeeping took all of our towels and washcloths. They replaced the towels only with no washcloths. When we went down to ask for more, Manfred's wife was pretty put out by us asking for more washcloths and said that they don't provide them. The third day, one of the housekeeping staff said that they were short on washcloths and they were told not to put any in the rooms. If they would've just explained to us that they were short, we would've understood and made due. Instead we were treated with rudeness. A little bit of communication and niceness goes a long way. The hotel needs some updating. It is the cheapest hotel in the village, and you get what you pay for. The hot tub and sauna were not working or not available. The upside is that it is very convenient to get in and out skiing.
