  Very nice stay!

  Our booking agent booked us this guesthouse so we did not now what to expect. But it succeeded expectations. It is a collection of old farmhouses, turned into bungalows and rooms. Everything was very traditional but very clean. The bathroom was basic but brand new. We were the only guests so it was very quiet. We took a walk upto a small, beautiful lake and returned to a wonderful 3 course dinner with honest, delicious food and an interesting conversation with the owner of the guest house. Just outside the guest house is a pond where a beaver has his house and we got to see him. Breakfast was very nice.

  Forget 4G, TV and the modern world for a while

  We stayed in Heddan Gård as part of our Norway holiday. It is unlike most other places we have ever stayed; isolated in beautiful nature you don't have TV and 4G - but in exchange you get beavers, sheep and a genuine farm experience. The room in the preserved cottage was comfortable and clean, the food served was generous portions of hearty farmers' food and the charismatic owner added a sprinkling of topical conversation to the evening. Highly recommended if you need to get away from it all, or if you welcome a sanctuary from modern life.

  Wonderful get-away

  In need of a mobile-free-zone, fresh air, no noise and up for trying something new, look no further. Good friends, good food and good wine - an unforgettable weekend, where I also brought my lefsebaking-skills to new heights ;)

  A true gem

  We spent two nights at this lovely guesthouse. It's very easy to reach by car, and in the middle of nowhere, if by "nowhere" one means a beautiful area on par with many of the national parks in the Western US. The innkeepers are not only warm and inviting, but are fabulous cooks. We had excellent food, in the tradition of Norwegian meals. The large cabin was spotless, and the beds very comfortable, the dining area is filled with all things Norwegian. They went above and beyond to be sure we were comfortable, including a tour of the hills.

  Very good location, excellent cooking

  The location of the guesthouse is beautiful in the middle of the nature. The apartment was very nice, only the bathroom equipment was way too small for a man of 1,96 m height. However, this disturbed only at the first glance, because the friendly landlord and his extraordinary good cooking and baking payed off totally. We enjoyed not only breakfast (at exactly 8 o clock) and dinner very much, but also the good discussions about everything. We learned a lot (i.e. dl vs gram) and we did laugh a lot. We will miss him and his guesthouse ensemble. PS: there is no TV (was not necessary at all), but excellent WLAN.
