  Memorable stay in Camden

  My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Hawthorne inn this week. Our room was excellent with a fireplace, spa tub, and deck overlooking the water. And we were only a five minute walk to downtown. The owners were some of the nicest innkeepers we have ever met. And we have stayed in inns all across the United States, Europe, and New Zealand. New England at its best!

  Just like a Hallmark Movie

  My fiancee and I stayed in the Brougham room during the pandemic, in the winter. We were blown away by the hospitality we were shown during our stay. We were personally consulted regarding breakfast plans to accommodate our schedule; offered free restocks of any of the many amenities (K cups, water, etc) in lieu of daily maid service, and contactless check in and check out could not have been easier or more convenient for us. Parking is easy, and a short walk downtown gets you to any of the various shops and restaurants. The Hawthorn Inn took COVID precautions very seriously, and never had anyone enter our room or our space between check in and check out--in fact, we didn't cross paths with any staff at all except for a knock on the door to let us know our breakfasts were delivered and some extremely kind texts or phone calls! Camden was fantastic, with great hikes and incredible food. Breakfasts at the Hawthorn were unbelievable and gourmet quality. And the snow, views, and fireplace made the entire trip truly seem like a Hallmark movie! We couldn't recommend this place more, especially for COVID-conscious guests, and will definitely seek the inn out for future trips to the area.

  Great relaxing weekend

  If you are looking for a relaxing weekend, Hawthorne inn is the place to go! The room was very clean and cozy. The king bed was like sleeping on a cloud. One of the best parts was the breakfast to our room in the morning. The jacuzzi tub for two and shower for two was the best! Will be visiting again.

  Best hiking by the sea

  If you adore looking out over the ocean after a climb, staying here is a good idea. I'm a dedicated walker/hiker and I get my 2 hours of winter fresh air on a daily basis only when I'm inspired by the scenery. The Camden Hills are my favorite walking grounds later in life when I need to be in an area with cell service while I'm out alone.

  Most Romantic Visit

  My husband and I came to the Inn for our anniversary and it was the epitome of romance! The tub (for two!) had intimate lighting and the view of the harbor from our room was sublime. Lisa was the consummate hostess and we look forward to visiting again!
