    Oldie, not a goodie.

    We stayed one night as a family of 4. The location is great, but to say it needs an update is an understatement. A carpet shampoo and a decent clean would be a start. Stained carpet and furniture and window would not close.

    Hawthorn Gardens

    The hotel is located conveniently near a shopping mall with lots of places to eat. There are supermarkets within a few minutes walk in both directions, which was very convenient. The train station into the city is around a 10 minute walk away so good connections available too. The apartment itself felt spacious and had all the required amenities, with a fully functional kitchen, along with washing facilities and liquid etc. The beds were comfy and were nicely separate from the main living area, which made it feel more luxurious than a studio. There was a small balcony area at the front of the apartment which was good for eating breakfast, and people watching in the street below. The basement parking also provides a stress free area to park your vehicle, and has a gate access for extra security. This is overall a great base for Melbourne, and easy access to drives outside the city such as the Great Ocean Road to the west and Phillip Island to the east. For dinner, there are a number of conveniently located restaurants a short drive away, or a multitude of options available on apps like uber eats for so you definitely wont go hungry either! Air con and wifi both worked well too.

    Place was disgusting.

    For the money we spend... it was not worth it. Mold in the bathroom, cracked dirty laminate on the counter. It was just disgusting! $600 for 3 night was not worth it. Would not recommend and definitely wouldnt stay again.

    clean and friendly accommodation

    apartment well cleaned, staff really friendly, the property is very close to the place we are going to visit. Close to shopping centers and restaurant. the apartment is self contained so you can cook your meals and do the laundry yourself, and we will definitely come back again.

    first come back since the COVID lock down, great relaxation

    It was nice back to Hawthorn Gardens! been almost a year since Feb last year, friendly staff as always, the room is cleaned properly, easy after hour check in procedures available we think every other property should have. Will be booking again!
