Amazing place and peopleWe had a wonderful time at Hawk Dreaming. Rana and Ian were exceptional hosts. Not only did they offer generous hospitality that went above and beyond expectations, they also shared their knowledge and understanding of Uncle Bill's Country and life work. We would highly recommend a stay here for anyone who wants to learn and engage with Country that's unlike anywhere else, accompanied by great people and delicious home cooked food. Thank you very much, Rana and Ian! Trish & Bree

A Wonderful Kakadu ExperienceWe had the privilege of staying at Hawk Dreaming with Ian and Rana a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed our experience with them. We were picked up at the Border Store by two very friendly and enthusiastic people who made sure our two night stay was perfect. Our accommodation was spacious and super clean, our meals were generous and delicious and the company of other travellers from France, Italy, Belgium and Australia made for interesting conversation at meal times. But the best part for us was the knowledge of the indigenous people and culture, wildlife and country given to us by Ian and Rana. They obviously love their job and make the Hawk Dreaming experience even better for those lucky enough to share it with them. The icing on the cake for us was watching the local birds vying for treats and the visits made by Jillie the agile wallaby to see Rana who had rescued her. Our daily tours were amazing, one into Arnhem Land, one on the East Alligator River and two sunset tours with Ian. This land is so ancient, so important, so beautiful and peaceful, a precious part of Australia that everyone should see. We highly recommend staying with Ian and Rana at Hawk Dreaming who will ensure that you never forget your Kakadu experience.

Overnight at Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Lodge.Glamping - of sorts... Facilities were very clean, bed was comfy, food was delicious and top notch. No complaints from us! Hosts were incredibly friendly. Loved the area so much. Its not 5 star...but considering where it is located, it shouldn't be. Perfectly comfortable for us.

Great experience in heart of NTWe were a family group of 12 and spent a night at the lodge - we were welcomed by Ian and Rana and had a very interesting sunset walk into the rocks close by to view aboriginal paintings and areas - fantastic views also. Rana's cooking was wholesome and great - best we had in NT! The cabins were comfortable and the night peaceful. I made a mess of the booking (I booked the wrong night - my fault) - and the team were very accommodating to take us a night early - thank you!
