  Beautifully nature, restaurant lacking cleanliness and service

  We are currently staying at Havsvidden, in one of their larger villas, but as part of the hotel. We have been very pleased with the surroundings, the nature is amazing and the villa is very nice and spacious. On another positive note, the food at the restaurant, both lunch and dinner, has been very very good. But then to the negatives... we are still in the midst of the Corona and the hotel restaurant does not seem to notice this. We arrived to the breakfast 30 min before closing and the staff had no intention of cleaning the tables after earlier customers. The tables are filthy, there are left overs everywhere. Also, the breakfast buffet is not taken care of either. It is messy, most of the things are missing and we have to keep on asking for stuff. Totally not ok before the actual closing time. They were out of milk, spoons, coffee, butter, juice... also, coffee cups were filthy. Doesnt make you certain you want to eat there in these times. Another negative note is the service. Staff is polite and friendly, but they fail to provide the service expected from hotel on this price level. They forget you in the bar (waiting for the table to be set-up), forget a starter, food gets a loooong time to arrive. And then again the cleanliness. In my opinion, you just have to clean the table after previous customers. We are paying around 650 eur/night for the villa. Although spacious with good amenities, with this price tag we also need to get good and clean breakfast and service while eating at the hotel restaurant.

  Magical location

  I live in Finland, but I must say that Havsviddens location is unique. Incredible views. Hotel is little bit shabby. Problem was that ( maybe because of COVID-19?) services were limited. Pool bar was closed and the way to restaurant was far too long. Restaurant was really overpriced.

  Snobish !

  They do have a private helicopter pad. They do have a private little harbor. They do have very expensive villas. But they are missing one thing ... It's not because they are very expensive that the services follow !! -> In the room: No air conditioning No possibility to prepare our own tea Comfort room means one window view on the sea ... nothing else and cannot be open. Very small NO SAFE NO Minibar -> restaurant Very very very slow The staff is young means NO experiences ... and less expensive The food is average -> Outside Access to the sea might be a bit tricky Nice place to walk around Nice sunset

  Bad food and service

  This place is totally overrated. The lamb in the restaurant was dry and potatoes were overcooked. The place was totally empty, nevertheless the young waiters forgot us several times and didn't ask for our wine order. I had already finished my meal and had to call for the waiter to take my order. I complained and asked for complimentary deserts. She agreed but however at the end charged us for the deserts. We really had to convince her to rewrite the bills. According to her she was the only waiter and it was so busy, which was definitely not the case. The atmosphere in the restaurant is not cozy and you feel like sitting in a conference hall. Waste of money, not recommended!

  Peace and quite

  Very fancy villa in a beautiful surroundings. No services nearby, prepare to be pretty selfsufficient. Clean and functional villa, lots of room for a family of four. Felt quite isolated so prepare yourself. Great hideaway though. Peaceful and beautiful place. Nearest shop/restaurant (if the hotel restaurant is shut) within 15 km. Try restaurant, Pub Stallhagen, they excellent serve food and also takeaway.
